Today, in your Daily Gator

So, Dawgs247 posts a piece about Jake Fromm and the good folks at Alligator Alley take umbrage.

Kinda reminds me of this insightful observation.

By the way, Jake Fromm’s passer ratings against Florida?  196.91 and 196.08.  You’d think the Gators could defend the slant better than that.

He’s better than Felipe Franks. Should be the end of the discussion when it concerns the lizards.

Our defense was lit in that game. Super fast to the ball and very aggressive. We need more of that tude!

That video is better than any combination of drugs, sex, cars, Duane Allman on slide, or money. Gator tail soup for the soul. One of these times it’s gonna end with Larry and Erk descending from the heavens to mark the liberation of Jacksonville. Scientists should study my brainwaves under the influence of that video.

      World peace, brothers and sisters.

Man, I enjoyed that. I think Kirby may unleash a beating like that this year. Our defense is going to be smoking by the time they get to the Gators. Florida fans are delusional.

You can’t tell me what to do and I’ll watch that whole video thank you very much.

For some reason 19 feels a lot like 17 as far as the anticipation building pre season. I’m trying to tamp my hopes down, but I’m finding it to be more and more difficult. I know the schedule is tough, but something just feels mighty good.

I like the guy who said, “I’m not even sure he was a top 5 QB in CFB last year.” So guys, we may only have sixth or seventh best QB in the country. Or maybe one of the top five. It’s hard to say.

Somebody on YouTube needs to make a video of just that single play. One clip in real time and another in slow motion.

All this chatter reminds me of the early Mark Richt days when we flipped the script on Tennessee so definitively and you had clowns like Casey Clausen saying “I could beat Georgia with one arm,” and then the next year 1 arm is healthy again but we roll their asses cold in Neyland, at night.

I was there for that one. Amazing night. I will never forget Clausen sitting on the grass watching Jones return his fumble 95+ yards for a TD at the end of the first half.

Was it Clausen or Jabari Davis that fumbled?

I didn’t review the clip but if I remember correctly it was a mixed up with Jason Whitten that caused it. Blown signal.

After the game Saxon Dawg and I walked around the outside of Neyland and past the team bus just as Tim Jennings was telling his family “We made ’em quit! Made ’em quit on their own field!” Exact words. He just couldn’t believe it.

Fullamerde confirmed it on his Sunday teleconference. Q: Why did you quit throwing in the second half? PF: Just wanted to get off the field.

Lulu and Junior is from the Dome, 4th Quarter vs. LSU, 2001. But there was a memorable sad coed on TV after SJ6 and his entourage took it to the far-side checkerboard.

    • I think I remember Pollack saying one time after sacking him, he made a comment about giving Clausen grief about that comment.

For a quarterback they have never beaten and given up 78 points to in two games, they sure are mouthy.

Looking forward to the three peat.

Fromm has dropped the two biggest Cocktail Party beatdowns on Florida since the 80’s and they want to question his ability as a quarterback. Keep it up, jackasses. #ftmf

Well, you know, last year really was closer than the score. I mean, they held the lead (for about 3 minutes) with only 25 minutes left in the game. I mean, they barely lost by 19 points.

You do realize that Fromme can become the 4th QB to drop 3 on FU, beginning with Johnny Rauch (’45 – ’48), Buck Belue (’79 – ’81) and ending with Aaron Murray (’11 – ’13). We can keep the tally and hope he makes it a 4th victory to break the record; that, and the start of Kirby’s record of 8 wins over FU that just saw him put #2 in the bank last year.

The hype is already over the top for this WLOCP.

Mullen started a little fire and it’s becoming a raging inferno that won’t be extinguished until the clock reads 00:00 at the end of the game.
I hope the UGA coaches and team follow the template laid out in “The Process” and Teddy Roosevelt. Speak softly or not at all and bring the big stick to JAX and wear it out on the lizards.

I actually agree with the alligator Alley guys. Throwing touchdowns on third down against a Todd Grantham defense is just not that hard.

“Anybody can throw a slant”. And until you prove you can stop it (they can’t), why would you do anything else? That is the equivalent them saying anyone can run a football after Herschel put up over 200 against them. When something is simple, effective, and low risk, why would you do anything else until it stops working? The psychosis and inferiority complex grows worse each and every day down in Gainesville. And I thought Christmas only came in December.

Jake Fromm is so overrated that two P5 conference pre-season favorites are starting our back-ups. Snatch.

People get so caught up in the hype of some players that they fail to see the total package. Fromm is a Joe Montana type QB. He has an above average arm, but not Eason’s or Stafford’s cannon. He is mobile but he is not the runner that Fields is. All he does is win. Bottom line, that is why Eason and Fields are elsewhere. You can see each year how the game slows down more and more for him. Eason did not have that and we will see if Fields ever develops that (early results say doubtful).

Yet another way in which the Florida and Georgia Tech programs are slowly becoming indistinguishable. “Anybody can throw a slant” is this year’s “They ain’t no speed bump.”

My fellow Dawgs, have any of you considered the importance of ’17 & ’18 games? It’s the beginning of the Kirby Smart attempt to break the winning streak record held by both schools at 7. Remember, we have to hold our team and coach to a higher standard.

Countdown starts for 6 more wins in a row beginning now.
