        I normally would agree about those two taking anybody, but I think Trey Bishop was a good litmus test. No team took a chance on him and he’s now going to JUCO. Auburn recruited him hard out of high school, offering him the chance to play QB. If they didn’t want Bishop because of pending charges involving him illegally videoing a consensual sex act, I can’t see how they’ll want to take Holloman.

    D’Antne Demery ended up at FIU (where I believe he’s the starting LT). Holloman probably ends up at a mid-major like that.

    If a player has been kicked off the team, what’s the point of putting yourself in the portal? You’re basically already a free agent that can contact any school that’ll talk to you. In the days before the portal, coaches couldn’t put transfer restrictions on players they’d kicked off the team anyway.
    I agree with Big Max above. Holloman is probably headed to a mid-major or even FCS school. I can’t see him getting a waiver to play this year, but no decision the NCAA makes surprises me anymore. JUCO isn’t an option because he’s already used two years of eligibility. If I’m mentoring JJ, my advice is to find a pass-happy Mid-major team, sit out a year, practice with the team and keep a low profile. And get counseling, try to make restitution, volunteer, and advocate for domestic violence victims. Then have a good year on the field and hopefully get drafted. I mean, Joe Mixon and Jeffery Simmons did.

    This isn’t 2010 the landscape has changed. I really don’t see a major program taking on this headache. The negative publicity would be loud and it would look awful

        I’m not sure, if I’m reading the bylaws correctly, that he can play with any SEC team if he admitted to hitting the girl. There doesn’t even have to be charges filed for that yo be true.

    Auburn is most likely landing spot. Not far from Atlanta and Gus has a history of taking former Georgia players who left under a cloud.
