It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

Once again, I don’t know what I’ve done to deserve such blogging bounty…

Maybe the football gods believe I have a five-star heart.  In any event, thanks, gods!

Perhaps they know the UGA-related bounty is headed on a sad, downward trend and you’ll need some good fodder for comic relief.

Not as bad as Kiffin. Ole Miss is now celebrating the Egg Bowl urination celebration because it enabled the Kiffin hire.

When did Ole Miss hire PT Barnum as its AD?

    Senator,
This is God’s way of telling you to keep the faith and keep on writing GTP.

Did you think Sgt. Carter was never going to get another HC gig? He beat Georgia twice.

Let me get this straight a ton of people are lobbying for the guy who is being replaced by Butch Jones. This ride is scary I want to get off.

No knock on Bobo but wow. They prefer this guy?

Not to be that guy, but Butch Jones was successful at Cincinnati and other stops along the way before stepping into the dumpster fire at Tennessee. I don’t see why he wouldn’t be successful with the Rams after spending a couple of years in Nick Saban’s career rehab incubator. His ridiculous little catch phrases probably play better when winning.

My brother-in-law is a CSU grad and lives in Denver. When I was mentioning Bobo to him he pointed to several reasons that it was a good G5 school. Great facilities for a G5 school with the new stadium and football facilities, great place to live, in probably one of the two best G5 conferences along with the AAC, and will pay well for a G5 program. Plus Bobo and his staff opened up a lot of recruiting in areas where Butch will already be familiar from his days at UT. Biggest downsides are lack of in-state talent at that level and the fact that not only is Boise in your conference but in your division.

People out there simply don’t care about CFB all that much. Hell, where I live people don’t care here either. You are right that Fort Collins is a great place to live. If not for career and family nearby, I’d move out to there or the Boise area in a heartbeat.

Is Tennessee still paying him? I hope so.

    • I have to admit it feels like the end of an era. Alabama didn’t make the playoffs or even the SECCG. Tennessee’s dumpster is merely smoldering and now they won’t have to pay Booch to pull the weeds in Mrs. Saban’s garden. Bobo ain’t coming back to Athens. UGA won 11 with a strikingly boring offense and even though I am a beat your rivals first guy, it still feels like a letdown. (Hey, I’m being honest here…)
For some reason it feels like the scene in Bull Durham where crash is driving away after being let go. Kinda sad in an inevitable way …..

Yesterday: Well, won’t be following the fighting Bobo’s anymore.

Today: Go Air Force! Kick the living sh*t out of those Rams!

And she said, Hey ramblin boy now won’t you settle down.
I’m the number one fan of the man from Tennessee.
Please come to Fort Collins with the snowfall.
We”ll move up into the mountains so far that we can’t be found.
    Please come to Fort Collings.
    She said, No.
    Boy would you come home.
Back to the ivory key board of the Yamaha.

A word or two in Bono’s defense. Alltime CSU’s winning percentage is .474. Bobo took ‘em to 3 bowls. Then he got sick. And then they fired him. I say FTMF. His final record including the sick time is about what their alltime winning percentage is. The place is a graveyard. They deserve Sgt.Carter and he deserves them.
