My last ballot of the season looks exactly like its immediate predecessors.
- Clemson
- LSU
- Ohio State
Those three teams separated themselves from the pack a few weeks ago and, for me, nothing’s changed. Hopefully, that’s going to make for what should be a fantastic CFP.
Time spent on my ballot? Two minutes, tops.
I have the same 3. I previously have had 7-8 but this weekend washed it all out. I agree that there’s those 3 are easily tier 1. It took me a few minutes because I debated Oklahoma but I think LSU will make them look bad. I think Clemson bears OSU and ultimately wins it all. Unfortunately.

I have those three and Oklahoma. My ballots always have four teams, and for the past few weeks it had been the undefeateds and Georgia. But after Saturday, clearly, I could not choose the wine in front of me, so…

Did you put Clemson first because of your man-crush on Dabo?

I voted for Clempson and LSU. Maybe my anOSU bias came out, but the fact that Wisconsin had a chance in that game tells me “little, ole Clempson” is going to beat them senseless.
On the playoff itself, I’m not going to watch a minute of it. If that makes me a bad CFB fan, fine. As I wrote yesterday, good riddance to 2019 for college football.

Ohio is one of the teams I truly detest. But I think they’ll curb stomp Clemson this year. This isn’t the same team Clemson had last year with a ton of NFL talent in their 2 deep in that defensive front 7. They still have talent but not like last year where they could simply rotate NFL DT/DE and LB with no drop off. Ohio’s Defense is legit and I do think there is something to the Sophomore slump for Sunshine.
If only they could both lose…

The 2nd half of the year Goldilocks has played well.
I like Venables with a month to prepare.

I always approached this as a poll for Final 4 candidates, right or wrong, and included more than four teams, until this week. My Final 4 was numerical, not alphabetical for the first time. I had LSU, Clemson, ohio, and OU, in that order. There were no other candidates that were close to consideration for the Final 4, imo. Looks like two very interesting semi-final games.

LSU, Clemson and Ohio State. This is the real reason the BCS didn’t work. Three undefeated teams and only two slots.

Thanks. It was gratifying to see the level of participation. We’ll do it again next year.
