Georgia beat the bird crap out of them.

Maybe you should have left the game in November, Gus.

Also, let’s not forget that this day Sam Pittman got his first win as a head coach over a good football team, proving that his defense, which held us to 5 points in the first half last week, is actually pretty good.

Congrats to The Pitt Boss! I may love Mike Leach, but I love you more!

Bo Nix is the most Auburn/Gus Malzhan qb ever, with those ridiculous flip passes and running around in circles. What a bunch of bullshit they are. Glad we didn’t let them get in the end zone with that crap.

  9. Wow! That game was some combination of Auburn not being as good as we were told and the Dawgs being better than maybe we thought they were.

I would have liked to see us score more but the offense looked pretty damn good. I hope Cook is ok. Young RBs look good. Bennett was really good. Defense looks championship level. I hate missing FGs.

They say Nix is STILL running from our defense.

    How ’bout them fucking dawgs!!

And hello kearis jackson, glad to see you’re healthy!!!

Athens PD is looking for 11 savages in red and black who were flying around, physically assaulting some visitors including Bo Nix from Auburn alabama for 60 minutes.

Ok maybe the UF love will be quelled down here for a while. The Dawgs emptied the bench in the 4th Qtr.

There’s not much on this earth that makes me happier than aubrun gettin’ a beatin’.
The University of Georgia administering one of those beatings in a proper fashion is one of those things.
Damn that was fun! How much is left on Gus’ buyout?

I don’t know if we will beat Bama or not. Right now my greatest desire this year is to put an apocalyptic beat down on the Gators. But first things first — come get yo whuppin, Lulu and Junior!

  19. This defense is clearly the best unit in the country.

I said earlier today if Auburn couldn’t run, Auburn couldn’t win. Auburn had 39 yards rushing. This league is all about the line of scrimmage. The Dawgs’ front 6/7 dominated the game.

Dare I ask, is Kirby sandbagging everybody? Dawgs looked waaaaayyy better tonight than I was expecting.

How about that targeting call on LeCounte?? And they didn’t even take long to confirm it. Looked clean to me. Shoulder pads. I mean there is basically nothing he could legally do to disrupt the catch except for throwing his butt at him. It’s getting to where I’m holding my breath on every other tackle expecting a targeting call. Pretty soon it will be, “dead ball, anticipated targeting on the defense, 15 yards from the estimated spot of the foul, numbers 41-50 are ejected.”

Oh and hbtd! That was fun to watch. Not a whole lot to complain about. 0 TDs surrendered to the #7 team. That’s pretty dang good. And SBIV, I never doubted you for a minute. You deserved that dip you got when Mathis went in.

Twice tonight I was bamboozled. First was the targeting call. And the second was Landers “pulling up lame” with a sure TD in his pocket.

I think by rule Lecount’s penalty was correct but very unfortunate. He was going low and leading with his shoulder but the receiver went down low as well.

      Liked by 1 person

      • It wasn’t the right call and should have been reversed on review. You might as well go to two-hand touch if a hit with a shoulder pad that wasn’t a launch is called targeting.

It was a ridiculous call. If the receiver doesn’t spit his mouthpiece out, it might not have been called. And don’t get wrong, I’m in favor of the rule, but he led with the shoulder.

Anyway, I’m tapping this on the iPad, enjoying the win, and watching a John Prine special on Austin City Limits. Life is good.

    • Agree the rule leaves the refs no choice there. It doesn’t have to be helmet to helmet to be targeting I don’t think. The shoulder pads to the helmet on a “defenseless” player gets the flag as well. The rule needs to be changed because now the only thing Lecounte is allowed to do in that situation is tag him after he catches the ball.

At least he got a solid shot in to be ejected on though. The mouthpiece ejection was nice.

A pox and bedsores on ESPN for those interminable commercials. I reckon as the last game of the day there’s no need to finish the game in a timely manner.
Auburn sucks and the Dawgs turned a few more recruits their way tonight.
    Great win. The gap widens.

Malzahn’s claim to fame is his HUNH offense which is based upon power running and a QB who can throw deep. He turned the offense over to an OC who produced a bunch of short passes and no running game to speak of. AU threw 40 passes and only completed 21 with a long of 20 yards, and ran just 22 times for 39 yards. The longest run was 10 yards by Nix when he was flushed out of the pocket. If I was an Auburn fan I would ask, What is Gus worth without his offense?

I would start asking why Gus gets away with handing over the playcalling duties in every year after a bunch of veterans cycle out.

What an enjoyable game last night. One of the most enjoyable in a long while.
What a great night for SBIV. Obviously he is not your typical sought after CFB QB. The kid is living the dream. I’m happy for him. I feel at some point though, that a more talented QB will push beyond him. Enjoy it while it last SB.

KJ had a break-out night. Good for him. He catches and runs well after.
Great night for Zeus too! McIntosh and Milton look good, as well as Edwards running the ball.
OMG! We threw to the TE!!!!!! Glad to see it.
The hook up with SBIV and Pick#1 was a thing of beauty 🙂 If only Landers had put in that effort…
The OL did their job. They are gelling. It was a concern previously, but I’m feeling better about them now.

The D? Awesome. What more do you want? The D is good all over; it’s hard to single out any group to brag.
I was surprised that Kirbs went after Nix so often. It was fun to watch. BoNix irritated the %&@# out of me when barely getting free of D’s grasp to flick the ball. I wanted them to rip he’s head off…
The DL created plenty of opportunities for the LBs and DBs.
I was proud of Campbell, he has matured. He kept Williams frustrated all night.
I felt we protected the middle well, which has been an area of concern.

27-6!! …and just to think I was concerned about this game. Way to go Dawgs! Thanks for a truly enjoyable night.

A tribute to Campbell’s work was Williams being utterly exhausted after that pass break up on the ball down around the five. He just looked done. Granted, Campbell wasn’t the only one covering him all night, but he had the bulk of the duty.

Florida’s defense has real problems. As bad as A&M has looked so far, they’ll probably give Florida a game. They don’t lack playmakers on offense. They’ll probably still get shredded by Florida’s passing game, though and ultimately lose.

Landers?? Anyone want to go there? Maybe he didn’t see the ball until the last millisecond, but it dang sure didn’t look good. Maybe that tool comparing CKS to CBJ was right. 😂😂

Landers primary problem appears to be that he plays tentatively, and that was another example. It was definitely weird to watch him pull up on it, and while I wish he could have things click or whatever, I wouldn’t be hurt if he never sees the field again.

He gave up on the route even though he beat his man. You can actually see him slow down.

He needs to be cycled out of the program and his scholarship given to someone who will actually give a damn and give some effort. He loafs. He’s lazy. He plays like he doesn’t care. Enough with this kid.

There is absolutely no excuse for not giving 100% effort, especially when you have those kinds of physical gifts. He better never see the field again for this team. Period.

I love watching Georgia’s defense play. Outside of that field goal series to start the second half, they made everything so hard for Auburn all night. Just getting a ten yard gain felt like a Herculean accomplishment for them.
