There are so many ways to speculate about this move that I don’t know where to start.
But, hey, don’t let me stop you.

Big #Vols news from @ClowESPN: Tennessee is hiring Kevin Steele to the coaching staff. Steele spent the five seasons as #Auburn's defensive coordinator. Former Tennessee player and assistant returning to Rocky Top.https://t.co/0HajqKN0Fk

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
In other Orange news…Auburn is putting together a pretty good staff. Bobo and Mason with talent are formidable.

It’s impossible to know how Harsin works out but he’s done a good job at Boise and he’s quietly putting together a solid staff at AU. Those are the first two ingredients.

That strikes me as a man who is ready to be a head coach soon. As in, this season.

Coach-in-waiting? My thoughts, too.

I thought they had a hiring freeze in effect.

Freeze is Non-grata in the SEC…

Let’s review the facts:
– It doesn’t say what position he is hired for.
– It doesn’t say who hired him.
– He coached with Fulmer at UT in the early 80’s.
– He was interviewed for the HC job but Pruitt eventually was hired.
Somebody needs to drive by Pruitt’s house and see if the realtor is there yet.

Smells like Fat Phil now has a back-up plan in place for an experienced interim coach if / when he fires Coach Potato Head “for cause” during the offseason.

Jeremy gone….
But Saban has an opening for a $45.000 flunky. You know JP’s gonna get some money in a settlement, it would be a shame for him to be cashing vowel checks and helping Nick pound the shit out of them some more

I’m not a Pruitt fan. Apparently he stirred up a lot of shit around CMR and “Doesn’t handle authority well”. It was time for CMR to go but no Boss likes some loose cannon asshole banging around making things harder than they have to be.
Plus he’s a dipshit.

How about kicking in white boards and screaming at kids publicly and endlessly until they teared up.

I figured that was covered under “dipshit”.

What ever happened to Tee Martin waiting in the wings for the top spot. Supposedly that was the incentive to bring him back to the womb.

I think that ended once he was demoted from Co-OC when they hired Chaney away from us.

Could mean that Tee is caught up in the investigation too. Steele would be clean…at this point…at least at UT.

Let’s not miss the hilarity of having to hire from Auburn to get cleaner. Man, it’s a pigpen in Knoxville.

Somebody with knowledge should write a book about the “Adventure’s of Phat Phil”. SEC best seller.

I’m sure this was Pruitts call. Ha. You’ll be able to cut the tension in coaches meetings with a knife. I wonder if Pruitt will check Steele for a wire before each meeting. This will not end well.
