Once transfer quarterback JT Daniels was healthy enough to play, the season changed for Georgia. With Daniels coming back, top running back Zamir White doing the same and the nation’s No. 1 recruiting classes from 2018–20 continuing to suffuse the program with talent, the time is now for the Bulldogs. Yes, there are a lot of early-entry losses to the draft, especially on defense—but the return of interior linemen Jordan Davis and Devonte Wyatt gives Georgia a chance to once again field the nation’s No. 1 run defense. Can Kirby Smart answer the lingering questions about his in-game coaching?
There’s probably a solid drinking game to be designed from all that. Hell, you could get alcohol poisoning just from the number of times “the time is now for the Bulldogs” gets repeated in the next seven months.

I’m as big a homer as can be and give pessimists a ration of deserved shit. BLUF I’ll be as surprised as anyone when the Dawgs win the NC. It’s not that I question the talent, depth, staff or head coaching. The fact is UGA is in a particularly tough position. Not a unique position. The same as everyone in the SEC that has to negotiate the normal obstacles and then face Saban’s Bama. Then enter the playoffs beat up.
Meanwhile I’ll enjoy watching the Dawgs beat the shit out of our rivals. That’s what it’s really all about. The time is now to win the NC. But the Dawgs don’t have to apologize or owe an explanation to anyone for not meeting that goal.
SEC. It just means harder.

Oh yeah. If the Gumps have a bad year and Saban watches the SEC Championship and playoffs from home? Cool. But he’s the GOAT for a reason. You can almost count on Bama being there. Beating him twice in a season would make it that much sweeter.

The talent is there. We finally seem to have an OC who is willing to let it all hang out and use the talent. The defense is going to be fine given how we have talent stockpiled. Special teams are going to be special in a good way.
I’m not a natty or bust guy, but I will be extremely disappointed if this team isn’t in Atlanta in December and doesn’t show better than it did the last time we were there.

In game coaching decisions?! Nope, it’s the tendency of forcing our RBs into a loaded box or giving opposing receivers a cushion so they can safely make receptions or the habit of taking our foot off the gas. Sure, those can be individual decisions in each game, but it’s an overall philosophy from season to season.

If the Dawgs lose to Clemson in a close one but dominate the East, Saban will throw a game and duck the SECCG this year for the extra week of rest while still making the playoffs as “the other 1 loss SEC team”. See you in the ATL TAMU. The media’s heads will explode.
