If Kirby wasn’t going to give Monken free rein, Todd would have been out the door following last season. He doesn’t seem to be the kind of guy who will sit back and draw a paycheck.

This… Nobody locked Georgia down all season. We either had a QB too short too see them or one in that couldn’t hit a bull in the butt with a base-fiddle.

Yes like his mentor he has seen the light. For Kirby it hit him right between the eyes in the 2019 SEC championship. 2020 was scheduled to be the year of the big change we all know why Monken did not yet to shine.
I’m Meanwhile Kirby rounded up more weapons for an OC aching to show colleagues I still got it. His answer is a half a hundred on the score board who’s next.
The assembly of offensive weapons given to a battle proven OC is unlike anything I ever remember seeing in Athens. Now just stay healthy and we’ll all be happy. I know the “all be happy part” is a record lift. WTH we’re due.

Because Kirby didn’t see the need to hire his own Lane Kiffin when he got the job–no idea if there was such a guy on the market, but I remember Kirby wanted the very-non-Kiffiny Dan Enos–these are (cliche alert) uncharted waters. Yeah, I know–duh. Sure wish Kirby’d started charting them five years ago, though. The Dawgs have all the talent to make the leap to elite, but I’m going to guess that it’ll be a (c.a.) bumpy road.

The Dawgs are probably going 11-1 in the regular season and will have to beat the SEC West winner (likely Bama, ATM or LSU) and win the conference to get into the playoff. It’s that simple….and that difficult.

I’ve said it on here a bunch, he wanted to air it out during the throw away season so much the RBs had to go talk to the OC. Years 2-4 were the Fromm years where they leaned on the RBs. Last year there was QB turmoil but Newman and Daniels were guys for explosive offenses, plus did you see the routes the WRs were running? Guys open all over the place. I know, cold shower time.
The big question is how much motion/shift can Monken get into the offense during the preseason? All that movement is a negative if the guys can’t do it without drawing penalties.

Arik and the Big 0 on the field at the same time will be a matchup nightmare for opponents this year. Dawgs feast on offense this season.

I’m firmly in, “I’ll believe it when I see it,” mode.
That isn’t just for throwing to score points in the first three quarters. That’s also keep throwing in the fourth quarter when you entered with a two score lead.
If Kirby does THAT, well, they he truly will have changed.

Clemson plays dime coverage a lot , suicide against our running backs. If we don’t let them get their Defensives calls in they are toast. Our offensive line will be the key, if it is great and injuries don’t kill us, it’s going to be a beautiful thing to behold.

One thing I’m excited about is that our quarterback is smart which should limit Clemson’s defense’s ability to do what they do best.

I buy it. As long as our OL does it’s job, I think Clemson is going to be in shock. I don’t know how you stop our offense with all of the weapons.

Todd Monken is NOT an unknown commodity. His offense score and score a lot. With a 2nd year of being in the offense for the whole team and more familiarity between the QB U& WR’s, I expect a vastly more potent offense.
