Hot garbage in, hot garbage out

Georgia beats Clemson and ESPN’s FPI rewards/punishes them both by dropping the Tigers to second and bumping the Dawgs up to fifth.  Oh, wait, that’s where they were before the game.

    Epic Dawg grading by ESPN.

    I love what Kirby told Holley Rowe moments after the win. “I’m so proud for OUR university to come into their back yard and win this game.” Nobody is ever going to work harder than Kirby to bring that National Championship to Athens it’s in his DNA.

    So, the company that employs the announcer whose kids play for Clemson ranks Clemson above the team that beat them? Seems legit to me.

    Both QBs looked lost and awful. It will take some more season to figure out why. I’m not sold on our O being that bad or our D being that good. Sold on their heart and spirit. Let’s enjoy the victory, get some athletes healthy, and handle our business. Screw what Mickey Mouse thinks… unless it costs us a playoff appearance!

      Daniels didn’t look lost. He did get fooled by the coverage on the pass Clemson intercepted, but otherwise he made his reads. He completed 73.3% of his passes. What makes you critical of him is his yards per attempt of 4.5 and yards per completion of 6.1. It was clear to me that the plan was to get the ball out quickly to neutralize the advantage Clemson’s DL had over our OL.

        Agree, I think JT and Monken were just limited…but for the most part the O line held pretty damn well…JT got sacked once, when we needed to impose our will by running the ball, we were able to do that against a very good Defense. I’ve been critical on here about Coach Luke…but actually I thought the O line pulled their weight on Saturday

    What does FPI determine? Playoff spot? Is it an auto win for the Conference championship? Oh it doesn’t mean anything? Then WGAF?

    It will be interesting to see what SP+ does, or do see the advanced box score from the game. I understand there not being much movement or separation between us, as it was a pretty even game. But it felt like we were more in control, never trailed, etc.

    I know it’s stupid but if Kirby keeps the pedal down at the end and we win 17-3 it would’ve looked like a more dominating win. Not that it will matter for us.
