Steelemas, nugget no. 4

Somehow, Phil manages to rank Florida 32nd on his preseason top 40 list while also making the Gators his #2 Most Improved Team.  Helluva 2021 season, guys.

Then he goes on to ask Florida fans “Are we friends again?” in his SEC forecast.  LOL.

Sheesh. Is Lake Oconee Academy really sure they want Dan Mullen hanging around? lol

Steele’s losing his edge. I’m scratching my head trying to figure the mental gymnastics he went through to get significant “improvement” at fu. I’d argue the talent level has gone down. Is Napier supposed to be the best coach in the room, like his predecessor?

Having a coach that actually gives as shit should be seen as improvement. Napier is at least trying. Danny boy checked out mid-season and was just mailing it in and going through the motions. Whether Napier’s efforts payoff is a story for another time. Old Danny Boy set the bar so low, almost anyone with a pulse would be an improvement.

C’mon, Ranger. One of the great gifts of being alive these days is that the Senator posts epically wonderful stories about the idiot gators, and then the rest of us wait for your response. So, here we wait…..

Please let’s start playing football. I can’t stand anymore BS about teams changing conferences and TV contracts. Let’s just play ball.

  5. Dumping Danny Boy was an improvement, but worth commending?! I mean, their dance routines and wakeboarding skills are way down.

32nd seems about right. What I don’t get is 2nd most improved team heading into the season. I get his #1 most improved team in USC with the P5 proven coach and staff, new QB who is proven, last year’s Biletnikoff Award winner coming in at WR, etc. What huge get did UF get over the offseason other than a new coach and staff?

Last few years, printed magazines are too disconnected with cfb now, they cant keep up with all the late post spring & summer portal entry/transfer activity. No reason to spend $ on a book with holes in rosters all over the place. CFB news/ Futiak seems to drill in for free with decent enough analysis.

I got my Steele for free. It was sent to me “or current resident.” Guess they’re trying to improve their circulation numbers. I wouldn’t have paid for it, Steele spends way too much space tooting his own horn.
