That poor kid in the Dalton paper is really putting that History of Techonology degree to good use. What a poor sport. Although, I will agree with him that Stafford is doomed for failure, because the idiots running the Lions failed to take a LT.

Not just a hatchet job on Stafford, but on nearly every UGA quarterback to go pro!

BTW, what about Andy Johnson? He seemed to do pretty well with the Patriots.

That’s the first time Stafford has ever been described as “hot-headed”. And they’re basing that on the SF interview? Clearly this person doesn’t really know anything about him.

I think what they mean is hide the controlled substances when Percy is around.

  4. I think Percy’s “sinus infection” that kept him out the second half of the 2007 season can be completely debunked now.

“As if playing in Detroit wasn’t bad enough, Stafford’s best offensive weapon on the team, Calvin Johnson, is a receiver from Georgia Tech, the program that beat him on his own field in his final game in Athens.”

I don’t see any way this statement has any sort of relevance unless it sprang from the mind of a Tech fan.

Plus he’s leaving out the fact that Stafford beat 2-Catch in their only head-to-head matchup. Oops!

University of Miami had only 1 player selected (6th round). Larry Coker pretty much quit recruitin’ while he was in charge. Hopefully, a stronger UM will result in a shift in the power balance of the state. Having said that, Randy Shannon better win some games this year…

Stafford will fail b/c Greene retired and Fran Tarkenton didn’t play very well in his two Super Bowls?

I don’t know about you all but I am immune to the “Sanchez is better than Stafford” statements on ESPN

It is getting absurd to me because I doubt 40% of those saying so or voting on polls have ever seen Stafford play more than 2-3 total games.

That article on Urban Meyer v. Shane Matthews is pretty troubling. Sounds like Meyer is trying to exercise the same kind of control over the sporting world that Obama is trying to assert over corporate America. His way or the highway. Bunch of control freaks.

I live in Dalton, and that’s about the level of reporting you can expect from my hometown newspaper. But then again, we have a semi-regular column on local pro wrestling.
