If Marlon Brown turns into a man-beast opposite AJ, the offense is going to be in much better shape than anyone projects right now. The talent that surrounds Murray right now is a quarterback’s wet dream. If he just plays the point and gets the guys in the right play and gets the ball out of his hands effectively and efficiently, then they are going to be hard to stop.

We definitely need a big body at WR like Brown. This may be off topic, but I can’t help but look at the Bama and Florida WRs, most of whom put on some muscle a year or two in to their strength and conditioning programs, and look at our guys, who don’t fill out nearly as much, and seem to be succeptible to shoulder injuries as a result. If UF can pack 20-pounds on Riley Cooper and he can go just as fast, why not us?

As far as rankings are concerned, I just think that the media does not know what to make of this team because last years turnover ratio was so bad. Hard to judge a teams true ability when they keep shooting themselves in the foot with turnovers and penalties. The real question is, are turnovers a trait of this team or an aberration? A regression to the mean will be nice, and if that’s the case, we should get a real sense of what this team is made of.

Excellent choice by Tim. Not only does the Draper give him a spring-loaded release, it also cures his windup problem and keeps him somewhat steady under center. In honor of Corch, Tim also uses the Irwin Gilbow G67 left-handed 11″ Snips for clean-up work.

Stewey had a decent anaylsis of the Dawgs going until the “neither has run for more than 717 yards in a season.”
Dude — King had a broken jaw and preseason injuries (and was a sophomore, frosh behind Knowshon) and Ealey rushed for 717 yards as a true freshman with half a camp without one carry before the LSU game. 717 yards from LSU on is spectacular, for an upperclassman. He was a freshman.

To me the biggest error in his assessment is:
“Because if you take Richt out of the equation, you’re looking at a team that lost five games last year… and returns essentially two proven commodities: its offensive line and receiver A.J. Green.”
I would slightly disagree with that assessment. I would add Walsh/Butler to the proven commodities list and while a lot of people are stoked about the OL, I am a little more bearish about it. When I see more consistency and depth, I will be bullish on the OL.
However, we need to go easy on Stewie, because it is rare that any praise comes Athens-way.
