Best signing day prop ever

Definitely worth a thousand words…

Feel free to insert “good thing he didn’t sign with [    ]” joke in the comments.

Redshirts for five-star running backs aren’t for coaches who are overdrawn at the good will bank.

I just hope Carlton Thomas is still able to get his share of carries up the middle.

Anytime we need a 2 yard loss we can count on him.

At least CT would run up the middle, Caleb always gets hurt and Washaun’s too busy deciding what his celebration move is going to be to learn how to block or do anything else. At Georgia the running game has been and always will be the engine that drives the train. Not having one is why we got shut down in the bowl game, we were one dimensional. Central Florida’s had a good defense and a good defensive staff they used the extra time they had to figure out how to disrupt our passing game, once they did that it was no problem, we couldn’t run all year.

Grantham: “I think if you look at this class, the vision that I had when I came here is coming true. I mean, if we get the players in the state of Georgia to stay at Georgia, we compete for SEC championships. “

    Yep.

So far, so good for CMR and the Dawgs. Now we need Big John Jenkins, a quality offensive line coach and a great spring. But one step at a time…and today is a great day to be a Dawg!

    So. Relieved.

I’ve never hung on recruiting. Ever.

This year, though, is different. I don’t know why.

    Damn. I hate it.

I hear you, Stoop, for the last hour I have felt more ridiculous than I have ever felt….but when, as I have said before, you lose to Central Florida, every little win is big.

Good thing he didn’t sign with the Crimson Tide. He would need some ointment.

Or worse. Not too long ago I saw a hilarious sign from an Auburn fan, it said: “The only crimson tide I fear comes once a month”. LMAO.

The decade of the Dawg is here!!
First thing is I wish coaching staff would quit talking about SEC Championships, set our goals higher and the SEC will be ours anyways!!

Whose that coming down the track!!!

Have you noticed what sec champs have done in the past ten years???

SEC Championships are always our goal, and the highest honor there is in CFB. I am not much of a recruitnik, so I am not celebrating anything at this point but it is good to see some optimism returning amongst the UGA fanbase. Seems Jenkins is all that is needed to make this the class the recruiting gurus say we need to regain our footing. I certainly hope that happens, but the development of 18 year olds over the next 3 years of their lives is an unpredictable process. Let’s hope this group has great character, if so and their talent is what is predicted all of our goals will be achieved.

Good to see he’s coming our way.

If CMR redshirts him (as he stupidly did last year with Malcom) McGarity can go ahead and convene the search committee.

Richt says he can see Crowell toting the mail on the first snap against Boise, so…yeah, no shirt for him.

Yea, but isn’t it much more fun to dwell on something potentially bad that Richt MIGHT do in the future? What’s Georgia football without bashing Richt at every turn. Who wants to get excited when we can be negative all the time!!!

          yeah, pretty negative that one.

The consistency among UGA fans is always bashing anyone of 3-4 staff members. Applauding the players while bashing the coaches in the next sentence doesn’t qualify for a “I’m not negative” sticker.

  13. If you win the SEC you have an excellent chance to win the MNC. I am still in the minority that considers winning the SEC harder & more impressive than winning the MNC.

The biggest reason that the focus should be on the SEC Championship is that it is in your control. You win that and then you see what your next game is. You can win all your games and not play for a NC, but you will be SEC Champs.

Great signing class but it still looks like we’ve got question marks at DL, OL, WR and RB. Need to try to get back to a New Years Day Bowl after 2011 and then we may have something after that.

Thought the same thing, backfired for him big time with Jaime Harper when he fumbled against ‘Bama on their first running play in the very same Chic-Fil-A kickoff special that our first carry will be in!

Little early to worry about the first play of the game next year. Just grateful for the class that we had after a 6-7 year. Get Jenkins and let’s compete for the East next year…. Oh and grateful that Florida is now getting pushed for recruits within their own state.

great signing day. But, worried about the DL if Jenkins doesn’t sign. If we’re ever going to play solid D again we need DL that can play. Unless jenkins signs we’re basically going into next year with the same group that couldn’t stuff the middle this year minus d dobbs, etc. Drew is OLB. Trust me, Mayes isn’t playing right away. what other DT, NG that can PLAY do we have? It aint no fun watching a good team figure out they can move it in small chunks on us all day long and then doing it. We can sign all the skill guys we want. If we don’t control the LOS, we aren’t winning SEC

Happy as we all should be at the excellent recruiting class the Dawgs brought in for 2011 your point is well made. There has been a great deal of discussion on this blog about the need for a real NG. Without one it will be the same as last year–the death of a thousand cuts. 4 yards and a cloud of dust with the other team holding the ball all game. The UGA staff must have a plan. 6 foot 7, 350 pound JC tranfer? Any scholarships left?
