This some-random-guy-with-a-keyboard’s anti-Georgia rant isn’t particularly well-written or original, but there’s one part I’m genuinely curious about:
… Scandals regarding Ealey’s driving habits engulfed last year’s preseason and his new discipline problems have now overshadowed the program’s great strides in recruiting this offseason.
I can’t say I’ve gotten a general impression from coaches, players or the fanbase that Ealey’s suspension has taken the glow off of the Dream Team signing. But, then again, I tend to lead a sheltered existence. Anybody else notice that?
Get The Picture 
No, Ealey’s dumbassery, in conjunction with King’s classroom screw-ups, are messing up what we need most. We need competition among all three for the tailback job. It’s not a good idea for a true freshman to believe the starting RB job will be handed to him. Freshman backs are notorious for poor pass blocking and fumbling.

This Ealey thing just helped focus the other players and the incoming dream team. I am not more excited about the goings on at Georgia than I was a week ago. The glow is brighter.

And I think Ealey was a good place to start as he has been particularly problematic while in Athens.
He & Moody were the pride of Emanuel Co. a few years back. At the rate they’re heading they’ll both be home soon telling stories about how great they are but they got a “raw deal” from coaches.

You and Mark Bradley. I hear the notion that IC needs to earn his position, but if piss poor pass blocking and fumbleitis is what you’re worried about I don’t see how WE could teach him anything about either of those things. Senior leadership is something UGA doesn’t have the luxury of having.

That group from 680 The Fan seems to have a penchant for slamming Georgia. I haven’t paid any attention to them since the Goff days. I listened to the Fran backstabbing rant just long enough to become annoyed. How is he relevant anymore? Great timing Fran! Last time I needed Buck was in 1980 and really not at all since that Clemson game where he mistakenly threw it to the wrong team all day. My apologies to all the Buck fans out there. I’ve never heard of Billy Bob Allen. Apparently he is a tabloid style writer that posts the “dirt” about college coaches and players. Chuck is at 680,is an Auburn grad with Paul Johnson as a Facebook pal. He brags about coaching his HS players to scholarships at Auburn,Tech and Georgia Southern…..none to Georgia. Guess that sums it up.

Yes… focus should NEVER be on one player as it is with Ealey. Too many ex-players are tweeting about it. We need Ealey for 2011, so let the man alone and let the coaches and current team mates (behind close doors) take care of it, he knows what he needs to do… Come on man!!!

The butterfly effect is a metaphor that encapuslates the concept of sensitivie dependence on initial conditions in chaos theory; namely, a small change at one place in a complex system can have large effects elsewhere. For example, if the Murf “the Leak” Williams was to take a whizz in the wind would it create a hurricane in the Gulf. I think if you leak it means you have pissed in your pants. I’m not sure how complex, sensitive, or feeling the initial conditions (an urge to go) have on that situation.
Now if I’m CMR, I might use some discipline like taping the driver’s license and ticket to his forehead, strap on the headgear, tape a football to his midsection, and asking him to run about the distance it would be from Clark County to Emanuel County.
From that point I’d be like a bulldog on his leg until he rushed for over 1,000 yards. Some kids are jut stubborn, don’t seem to understand the system, and float off after butterflyies. He is suspended. I think that would not be a good thing if you are on scholarship in Athens or you plan to float off to another campus. But then there are men and players. If you like to call yourself by a name other than the one your mother gave you, well, I say the geek’s sports writing should be limited to watching butterlies and birds.

It’s the off season and the wackos come out to play. Based on the Tweets that Leather Helmet has posted it seems the ex players are all for Mark kicking some a$$.

I think there was optimism starting the 2010 season that the running game would take up where it left off at the end of the 2009 season. Ealey and King probably had the big head a little thinking they were going to “run this state”. As mid season approached and it was obvious that wasn’t going to happen, whether or not to redshirt Malcome was a thought for sure, but could he really help that much with the o-line playing like they were.
What I really think we are seeing now is a dedication by Richt and company to clean up the house of the “problem children” not to mention the fact that there are a few options at running back now that were not there before, Malcome’s red shirt not an issue and Crowell. Competition always helps and Ealey and King with either start putting it together soon or hit the road. Either way, the Dawgs will be better for it. I really hope they figure it out, but if not, adios boys. No more room for bad apples anymore…..especially when your job depends on it!

From an outsider’s perspective, it seems to have enhanced this year’s signees by showing just how unimportant Washaun might have become.
I’ll be the first to say he appears to have the physical gifts to be a very good college back, but then, so did Marcus Dupree.

Washaun Ealey is a medium size waste of potential. Marcus Dupree was a once in 20 years waste of potential.

When Ealey is motivated he is a tough runner. I think CMR is sending him a message, get with the program or get gone. Possibly that message is meant for the whole team. All the recruits at UGA were HS stars, they have to learn that they aren’t in high school now. Every year there will be new recruits coming into the program, and one of them wants your job.

Rather than “overshadowing” the recruiting class, Ealey’s suspension put a giant exclamation point on it. Sometimes it’s the players you dump, not just the players you add, that makes a team better. I hope Washaun gets the message better than the dumb 680 commentators.

This attitude crap has gotten out of hand . Who babied this guy to his current arrogance about UGA football? If he only recently has had this attitude problem, then why in hell isn’t he gone? The fact that there is no followup story that says he has apologized and is working off punishment to get back on the team and into future good graces means that we have to go through a thousand cuts before it dawns on all 0f us that he is has gone rotten with the team. Cut him loose. Get it over with. I loved watching him in his stride and especially mowing down Tech with hard and dedicated running , but you can’t undo what has entered the mind such that you make poor career decisions based on attitude as he is doing now. I’m liberal about giving second and third chances. It appears that his attitude has used them up. Pick him up with a nice gloved hand and place this dogshit in the trash.

Idea! Put Buck in charge of discipline. It would be an unpaid assistant’s job, but what the hell, ole’ Buck’s bucking for a team-helping job. The title could be : “Alum in Charge of Rasty Negativism” or “Attitude Changer for Running Nimrods” (ACORN).
