And it’s probably worth mentioning that Vanderbilt has had exactly the same amount of success against Georgia during that time period as the Jackets have had.

Yeah, but those rare losses to Vandy or Tech are so traumatic that it seems like they happen every three years or so.

Kyle does have a point here though: … the “cushy home slate” argument utterly ignores the necessary flipside to that position: If all of Georgia’s easy opponents come to Sanford Stadium, then the Bulldogs must face all their tough opponents in venues outside Athens.

Not only does Vandy have the same amount of success in terms of beating Georgia as does Tech, but they’re outperforming Tech in the moral victory department. Vandy has come close to beating Georgia many more times than Tech has over the past 11 years as well.

Love bashing GT as much as the next guy, but most of Richt’s victories over them have been pretty close. 04, 05, 06, 09, ’10 were all nail biters. Vandy has come close to beating us maybe 3 or 4 times?

Isnt the only time Tech has beaten UGA at the Joke By Coke since 1989 the year of the Jasper Sanks non-fumble? It took the worst call in the history of bad calls for them to squeak out a W in OT. That lone W in nearly 23 years shows the home field advantage at the Joke actually belongs to UGA.

I don’t hate Tech, not really, I hate losing to Tech. I hate losing anyway, but I really hate Losing to Tech. Last game of the season and it leaves a sour taste that lasts til the next November. I remember Mo-Mass wandering the field in shock after the 2008 game. I felt the same way.
