I’m not sure what I most like about this – the methodology, the list itself or the conclusion – ah, let’s go with the conclusion.
Simply put, I think there is no better than a 20% chance we get a better coach. Only 2 of 10 coaches have been demonstrably better as far as team performance than CPJ: Dodd and O’Leary. But I think even if we got another Dodd or O’Leary, the chance is good that they would be lured away by $10Ms to go to a factory. The game of football has changed and Dodd was disheartened at the end about GT’s chances. So the upper end estimate of getting a better coach is 20%.
In other words, at Georgia Tech, you can’t do that.
Get The Picture 
There is a 99% chance GT will continue to see they same type of performance they’ve seen the past four years (6-7, 8-5, 7-7, 7-6).
There’s a lot of stubborn in that program.

Dear Nerds,
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
I’m happy they see things that way..but they’re looking at it wrong. There is a better than even chance that they could do no worse than PJ…and they might get a guy who is a little more flexable with his offensive scheme, thus pulling in a little more talent and a few more wins. If he turns out to be a winner and is lured away by $$, so what? Every school faces that.
It’s a defeated attitude that says “let’s hang on to our meidocre coach because there’s no threat he’ll leave”.
Or…I’ll hang on to my so-so girlfriend because Beyonce would probably leave me for Dog in Florida one day.
Even Vandy found it’s way out of that mindset.

Stated a slightly different way, there is a 50-50 chance that things will either stay the same or improve if Tech makes a change. I’m glad the Techsters don’t have the stomach to risk anything. Just stay and wallow in mediocrity permanently. You deserve Tech–and Tech deserves you. Keep Johnson forever. Please.

Jim Donnan should be convicted at trial for allowing that pitiful joke of a program to get ahead of Georgia from 1998-2000 if for no other reason.
Honestly, I’m grateful that we’ve got such huge advantages over our historic rivals on the Flats, but sometimes I wish they weren’t quite so hapless. When they’re so inept that their fans aren’t even willing to crow when they’re holding a 16 point lead over you at home because they still expect to lose, then it’s just not as much fun to beat them anymore.
Totally kidding, beating Tech is THE BEST.

Up 20 points, their crowing was only outdone by their bad techno – rap music and awkward dancing.

I was also. Seemed to be mostly young techies crowing around us when they were up 20, except for a couple older tech fans, who were expressing cautious optimism. Until that TD we got right before the half, and all of the sudden, a paranoid uneasiness went over the crowd. The greatest line I heard from a tech fan that night came during halftime. I was obviously quite humble (not a trait I normally show at college games) after forced to witness that even tech could punish us through the air, and was having a conversation with one of those older gentlemen I referred to, when our talk was coming to its end. Very politely, with a sort of dejected demeanor, he pointed at the scoreboard, which read 20-7, and told me “We didn’t score enough to win”. He turned out to be quite prophetic.

Those older Tech Guys knew they would blow it. When you are a Tech Fan you never really expect to beat Georgia.

And they still have the all-time record for longest winning streak (another reason to be pissed at Willie Two Thumb’s D in 2008 was that would’ve tied them with 8 in a row, and we could have been sitting on a 13-game win streak going into 2014 against them.)

Didn’t think their excuses could get any worse, but now they are Nuked. His words only demonstrate the psychological bottom their fans have reached, especially at our hands.
