I’d say it’s amazing it’s only Georgia that gets slapped for this kind of stuff, but at this point I’m just resigned to it.

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
+1 Senator, damn it.

Texas deserves a better brand of handshake than that

Mayor, you’ve been out DIF’ing DIF.
And the coaches at Auburn do actually wear some very similar garb as depicted in this YouTube clip.

Thank you, that’s gracious! My agent will be sending you a Thank You note and a Bob Evans buy one with two drinks and get one free breakfast coupon Monday through Friday only. But I realize that some may have a DIFerring point of view and I understand that because America, Heck Yeah, etc., and I would never want to take any attention away from the Mayor or the dawg that’s not going to win any dog shows because I enjoy needling them so much that it makes my time here – at least to me – worthwhile and not an absolute waste

There’s a fairly obvious reason why “only Georgia” seems to get penalized for this kind of thing, which clearly happens just about everywhere: Georgia is the only program I’m aware of which consistently self-reports possible violations, preemptively suspends its players, and then bends over and awaits the NCAA’s punishment without any substantive effort to fight it.

Did some of our players ‘fess up to receiving handshakes? Didn’t hear about it. This can put a dent in plans to compensate ours to keep up with the COA difference.
No? Whew! Thought for a minute we had to just swallow hard and take COA crap from the likes of Aub, Tenn, The Misses. Who would have ever thought that an extra $100 or so would make a difference to a kid, even one with a silver spoon in his mouth? Wait…

I cannot believe we are five comments in and not a single person has complained that the link takes them to the CBS all access page. This has to be a record!

Is it not being Christian to turn the other cheek? That should explain a lot in the last 14-15 years.

I’m having dinner with a wealthy person connected to another SEC program. He says he’s at a function of some sort, related to football, and says: “when (insert former star football player) comes up to your table you gotta give him a grand.”
