So, what happens after you offer a seventh grader?

The journey of David Sills, from 13-year old dazzler of Lane Kiffin (“Get the F out of here.”) to freshman quarterback at West Virginia.

The weird thing about the story is how many people involved along the way don’t want to comment about it now.

    Of all the miniscule things that upset the NCAA, why don’t they intervene with this “child abuse” from adults who need chaperoning? Let the kids grow up first, build a “do not touch” fence around them until they can at least drive a car legally.

      Because it wouldn’t work. What would work is making those early offers binding. Nobody would offer a 7th grader if it actually cost the school a scholarship six years later.

        Maybe, but I find non-family adults hanging around young adolescents talking about adult matters sleazy. Close to child molestation, someone is going to get shafted either way. Let them develop their minds before you start playing with them. You would think they would have better things to do on campus with the players they have.
