Georgia – Alabama is shaping up as Gary Danielson’s kind of game.
“I think this has the makings of one of those really good decision football games that we were used to seeing in the 80’s and 90’s. This will be different from the modern game of spread football where whoever has the ball last wins.”
If there were a Danielson drinking game for Saturday, popping one every time he expresses that sentiment would probably have me on the floor before the end of the third quarter.
You’ll be on the floor by the end of the 3rd quarter anyway. 🙂

That’s really going to confuse Verne especially if his circuitry is wet

Nothing to base this on except HD tv, DIF, but it appears to me Verne’s circuitry is used to being wet. 🙂

Great observation. A riddle like that from Gary will confuse Verne regardless of the humidity and/or barometric pressure

Since Danielson is almost always right, we can assume this will be a shootout with a combined 60+ points, 600+ yards passing, and 180 plays right?

I’m looking forward to the game, it should be a good one, but there is a dark cloud building around our program and I’m not sure how we can take that dark cloud with us to Athens and beat a top 10 team.
What is the dark cloud? Well, from what I’m hearing a lot of the Internet rumor-mongering about certain folks on the staff has some validity to it. I’m a nobody in real life (as well as on the Internet), but like everyone else, I know somebody that knows somebody that talks to someone.
Again, I just have a hard time believing we could take that baggage with us and do well in a big game.
Have a good day,
BD

With all respect to BD, I went to the Vince Dooley post-graduate seminar, too.

That’s good enough for me! Does it have anything to do with the Global War on Lane and if so would it have made Al Davis happy?

That had to be an uncomfortable moment.

Actually Lane looks like a smug con man who tricked a senile old man into giving him a wad of cash. It’s the senile old man who looks afraid to me.

Looks like a post here from 5 years ago. Hope the stuff gets sorted out BD, but lets wait until after this game shall we? 😉

So does this have anything to do with the early draft info or the fact that the offenses are becoming too fast and unsafe?

Nick says it’s the fans fault.

What’s the scuttlebutt? I understand if you’d rather not get into it, BD. But to anyone else who might follow the college football rumor mill: Is there something going on at Alabama? I can’t help but assume it has something to do with Lane Kiffin …

It’s probably not cool to go 100% rumor-monger and give loads of details. Some of the details probably shouldn’t be talked about anyways.
I’d classify them into two categories: off-the-field and on. The on-the-field concern me a little more.
Many on this blog have wondered how long it would be before Saban jumped on the neck of his OC. Apparently that nearly happened near the end of a game earlier this year.

Don’t know if I buy this or not, but I do believe it’s coming. Last year versus Arkansas was the most put out I’ve ever seen a head coach with one of his coordinators. It still baffles me why he hired Kiffin.

is this Kiffin/Saban’s daughter shit that we’ve hear rumors of? I told a Bama friend of mine about that rumor and he said I didn’t know sh-t . I told him that he was correct but we just needed to get Saban to deny it and we’ve won.
