“40 wins sounds a helluva lot better than 39…”

Jordan Jenkins reminds us that while things may seem weird going into the bowl game, it still matters to the seniors.

Exactly! And I hope they get it and the fans show up to a “nothing” game. I’d love to see a win.

Those seniors never quit. Lily is not a quitter I hope he can optimise the talent on the O. I know the D will show up. I want them to get their 40 wins.

I believe it matters to Jordan and maybe a few others, but I’m expecting less than 37 pieces of flair from the rest.

+1 hard to believe it has been four years since he was a freshman lining up opposite of Jarvis. I really don’t care about the NFL, but do like to see former Dawgs do well. I’ll Try to tune into his games.

Win total? Really? Do they get special trophies for achieving such lofty goals? If the win total were that important to these kids maybe they (the offense and coaches) should have shown up vs Florida. How about putting together a 1st down or two in the 2nd half vs Tennessee? Enjoy Jax, get your bowl swag and go home. Meaningless game for a group that had zero fight in them. The football calendar has turned to 2016 and the new coaching staff. GATA

Jesus Skeptic, the two examples you list are the offensive problems in those games; Jenkins played on the other side of the ball and for a defense that lists in the top 10 in college football this year. Give these seniors their due, its their last game for Christ’s sake; would you rather have a win or loss in your last game?

I’m with ya Skeptic. I have lived in Jax since I left Athens in 1985. It is brutal to live here when the gators have the upper hand. No excuse in losing these last 2 to them. Beyond ready for the Smart era and life after Richt.

        “…and life after Richt.”

This IS life after Richt. He is gone. This game is for the kids still playing at GA, and we want a win. A bowl against a B10 team? You dang straight it means something to me. We can’t remove the pain from losing to UF but losing to Penn St. would just be more pain.

Skeptic, that may be the most chickensh!t post you have ever made, and that is really saying something. This Dawgs team still has the opportunity to post a 10 win season and the UGA Administration and “fans” like you have basically given up on the team and vocally support the opposition. And Kevin, when you come out with a positive suggestion (like making the WLOCP home and away or any other idea that would actually help the PLAYERS) to keep our team from always playing FU at a disadvantage then maybe someone will listen to what you have to say. Right now you are part of the problem. When the UGA AD and Administration quit making football decisions only for money and against the interest of the team then maybe we’ll beat FU regularly–not before. Guys like you and Skeptic are McGarity enablers. GFY.

You represent the unreasonable lunatic fringe of our fanbase that I wish didn’t have internet access.

That Florida game was a result of mindbogglingly poor offensive coaching decisions, not the players putting up no fight. In fact, I can’t think of a single game, even Bama, where the players weren’t fighting until the end.

“for a group that had zero fight in them”. I for one would pay to watch them show you how much fight they do have.

This season was the pure definition of “A Throw Away Season”. 2015 will be remembers not for the victories and grit of this team, but rather for the losses and ineptitude of this program. I thank Richt for his service to the University of Georgia and for his leadership, but it is time to move on. For me, that time is now…out with the old and in with the new. The 2016 Taxslayer Bowl is nothing more than a paycheck for the athletic department and a symbol of yet another disappointing season. Disappointing for the fact that this team failed to win a wretched SEC East division…yet again. As for 40 wins, big friggin’ deal. That and $5.00 will get you a Starbucks coffee. How about the seniors taking pride in conference games that actually matter? If they had done their job throughout the season they would not have to worry about 40 wins today.

Skeptic Dawg WOW this is as low as a supposed Dawg fan can go. I would suggest that you put yourself before the team and as such are not really a fan at all but a troll coming out from under your bridge. Grow up and behave like an adult, I assume your over 18 and sober but maybe I’m wrong.

Ahhh…Christmas music and holiday joy in the air. The time of thanks and gift giving to those we all cherish. And then there is Skeptic’s post. A sad little sadistic troll emboldened by others like him here this season to come back out and make inflammatory comments just to take joy in the backlash. An extreme manifestation of a deep psychological problem.

Get help man. Get some freaking help.

Hope BMAC, Lilly & Sherrer play excerpts from ’13 UGA v. Vandy on a loop mixed in with choice plays that led to Grantham’s apoplectic rage at the end of the ’11 game to remind all exactly who coaches this Penn State team. Big Dawg needs to eat – especially for our fine seniors.

  10. I’ll be rooting for our Dawgs to win 40 and crush Pedophile State U.

It is a shame that so many coaches abandoned them.

While I am frustrated at times with the direction of our program, I am never frustrated with our kids. These are 85+ kids busting their ass for the glory of old Georgia and the entertainment of our fans and alumni. The vast majority will never play a down in the pros. This is it for them.

    Go Dawgs!

“This is it for them”…..that is what I most think about concerning this bowl game. I have been out of HS for 20+ yrs now and I still till this day think about my last season and game of HS football. These guys have received a lot from UGA without question but they have given a tremendous amount too. They should be honored for that and should be supported. Something tells me that Skeptic has probably won very little in life much less 40 games in the toughest conference in the land.

Skeptic reminds me of the douche bag fans that harass recruits on twitter because they did not pick their school.

This game probably does not mean anything to him but we know it means something to the seniors that have fought hard for the Dawgs the last four to five years. Especially the ones that will walk off that field in Jacksonville and never again put on a helmet & pads.
