Whether you were in CMR’s camp (of wanting him to remain coach) or not, only a disturbed sort of individual wouldn’t respect these remarks while still yearning for him to fail at Miami.
Richt is like the classy ex girlfriend who genuinely is happy to hear of your recent engagement. In fact, she even sends a thoughtful gift while wishing you both the very best.
If society was filled with people who possessed just 1/2 of CMR’s character, it would be a hell of a lot better place.

Well stated, 3&G. We have some “disturbed” individuals here who hope he fails spectacularly, so they can prove to everyone else (and themselves) how smart they are. I call it RDS – Richt Derangement Syndrome.
I want him to be successful and also want Kirby to be successful. I would love to see the two universities in a championship game with these 2 on the sidelines. I would want the guys in red & black to be victorious.

CMR is a man who is comfortable in his own skin. He could not care less what the pathetic little douche bags on the internet say about him. We would all be better off if we tried to be a little more like him. By the way, I think it was time for a change, but I still have great respect for the man.

Very classy indeed. I truly thought Richt was gonna get a NC in Athens up until 2008. Even after then, I was still on board.
Hope he does well in Miami or at least is happier. He looked utterly miserable from 2013 on, with the exception of about a 4 week stretch in 2014.

Go back and look at that 2013 season. In Clemson to start, he looked tan, lean, relaxed. By that bowl game in Jax, he looked absolutley miserable. He looked like he had gained 20 years and 30 pounds in 4 months. I honestly, 100% thought he was going to step down after that season.

I would have looked like I had been put through the ringer after temporarily losing my best player to an ankle injury (Gurley), seeing his running mate’s knee explode in Knoxville (Marshall), losing your best deep threat and your best possession receiver on the same day (JS-W and Bennett), and your best remaining receiver (Conley) in a game where SEC officiating absolutely stole the game from you. Throw in losing your SEC record-setting QB to a non-contact injury in his last home game after a gut-wrenching loss because of a couple of knuckleheads didn’t bat down a desperation 4th down pass. I would have been miserable by January 1 myself in that case.

Perhaps the most obvious tell about the man is that he makes many millions and his wife is graduating from NURSING school. That says so much about both of them. No hyperbole, here – that’s character to a degree I can’t even relate to.

Well said…….I have expressed on these pages that CMR has an eternal perspective on life. We can all debate on whether that is the right way to guide a program ( I believe it is) but he is consistent in all that he says and does. Good luck coach Richt. At Miami, and in all you do!
