I knew it was too good to last.

Damn it, KC Joyner.  First you give me hope, then you snatch it away.

“Georgia may have only ranked first in the AP poll for one week during Mark Richt’s entire 15-year tenure, but he left the talent cupboard fully stocked.”

    No, no he didn’t.

We’ve got plenty of talent, and Richt/Kirby brought in more this past recruiting class. The biggest thing that will hold us back this fall will be all the kids and coaches getting used to each other and a new system, and Kirby figuring out how to be a head coach. It will eventually work it’s way out and I think we’ll be better for it, but it will take a little time.

Could we use more talent? Of course, and Kirby’s working on it. But we’ve got top 15 talent right now, easily.

Richt left good top-end, skill position talent. But he didn’t leave much depth or skill on the lines of scrimmage.

Yeah, I can agree with that, though I’m not sure our line talent is that bad. Not great, but still more than serviceable.

Agree with your in-a-nutshell take on the personnel, Russ.

And the easiest schedule in many many years. No excuses this year.

Senator, thought you didn’t subscribe to these “Pay for our Opinion” sites. How are we to read your citation when we aren’t and never will be paying to be members in order to read some ESPN X-Spurt’s opinion?
