Today, in idiocy

Of all the stupid things to suggest, fake juice after the Auburn blowout is about the dumbest.

It had better.  They’ve already got Senior Day for motivation.  If honoring the four who stayed with renewed effort and focus doesn’t offer enough, those jerseys aren’t gonna make any difference, either.

The part of the Georgia fanbase that is infatuated with the idea of wearing black baffles me. I hope we only ever wear red at home. Now get off my lawn.

Don’t know if you ever listen to some of those podcasts that Donnan and Radi do. But I sure wish Radi would just keep his mouth shut and let Donnan talk, I like him better this way…..WAY too many interruptions. He almost reminds me of a giddy little girl, it’s disturbing. Donnan is great on these podcasts imo, great insight and humor.

That’s sounds like the worst podcast of all time. I don’t think I could come up with two worse people to listen to. Why troll yourself???

I actually find it pretty entertaining. I have to drive a lot and and Donnan is pretty insightful and he has a ton of great stories. He usually gets me laughing about something. It is way better than the Dawgnation podcast. That thing is awful.

Podcasts in general are usually pretty terrible for my money. Especially the ones that are about sports. Sam Franco is a good friend so I try to tune into 960 as much as I can in the mornings, but I can’t stand when they have Radi or Donnan on. The entire show just devolves into incessant rambling about nothing imo.

Donnan has pretty much got his finger on the pulse, more so than most anyone else that is not on staff (coaching). He is very insightful and knowledgeable…..it is that other knucklehead that ruins it for me. Donnan is a damn good ambassador for UGA imo, lucky to have him.

Dude literally stole millions from his own friends, and would be in jail if he was anyone else. I don’t think he had a good grasp of what was going on even when he was coaching so I’ll disagree with you there. Guys that like to hear themselves talk don’t hold my attention.

His own lawyer was quoted saying of him, “It’s not a crime to be not very smart.” Really shines through during his broadcasts imo.

“Stole”???…..last I looked he had a trial and was found not guilty. I was not there at his trial to know one way or the other. Were you there??
He was a good football coach, not great…but good imo. Probably the biggest problem I ever had with Donnan, is when he left Quincy stay in after throwing 5 INT against SC. He was a good hire at the right time and got Georgia going in the right direction. Free your mind….and listen with an open one (podcast), the dude knows UGA and football. If not, your loss (assuming your a dawg), not mine.

OJ was also found not guilty, that doens’t mean he didn’t do it. Donnan guy stole from his friends, and best I can figure they felt sorry for him and didn’t come down on his ass like he deserved. He’s a clown.

They have this thing now called the media who will write about events making it completely unnecessary to go to a trial.

LOL!…Kinda what I thought, you are limited. I guess you believe everything you read, right?? Too bad we can’t use the “media” to take the place of trials/courtrooms….should save a ton of money……Nonetheless, carry on.

Right, I guess we should get our facts from old trolls who are probably lying about their courtroom presence.

“old trolls”?? If you refering to me as a troll, you’re wrong…..and I never said that I was in the courtroom. Read again, ” I was not there at his trial to know one way or the other” …..but I do have an issue with stupidity (your comments)…..but I guess it is hard to argue with stupid…..God bless you.

My apologies. I misread, I thought you said you were in the courtroom. So if neither you or i were in the court room, then what gives you anymore of an authority to make a judgement based on the transcripts of everything that transpired. Calling me stupid doesn’t support your weak position. We expect better at GTP.

Anyone who trusts the media for their facts is the dummy here…regardless of the subject. I don’t know what Donnan knew, or didn’t know, but he has been a DGD since he came to Athens. Pretty funny as well. I listen to Sirius CFB channel during the day.

  3. I was listening to it and it kind of sounded like to me black jerseys could be coming the way Kirby answered it.

If so, I’m sure it was planned long before Auburn.

My position has always been that if the guys like wearing black, they should get to IF they beat the gators. If they do they can wear black at the home game of their choice. I like it as a reward for beating UF.

Looks great, I like them……but after the first series or two, the color of our jersey will not help the performance on the field .

That’s why even Saturday’s performance can’t ruin this season for me. We DESTROYED jort nation. I smile every time I think about it.

Wearing black uniforms against Kentucky is a whole different kettle of fish than wearing em against bama, fu, or awbie. And if it’s a reward to the team or seniors, than I don’t have a problem with it.

I don’t go for the knee jerk reaction that any reward or change is fake juice. And Kirby definitely isn’t as enamored with fake juice (or slogans) as another HC we had, who I won’t name here.

Exactly. A reward is much different than “fake juice.” Moreover, if we’re going to do that we should be clear about that its about winning the CP and Senior Day and not about UK. The down side of “fake juice” is that the other side gets the same opportunity to be motivated by it.

It has been suggested the players care. I’m not making judgments whether they should or shouldn’t care, but given the amount of work they put in, if they want to wear a black jersey then who are we to say they shouldn’t.

Let’s hope the two seniors on defense show up for the game on Saturday because they damn sure weren’t anywhere to be found on The Plains what with Auburn getting to the outside at will.

So jerseys are fake juice, but supposedly being motivated by what an opposing coach says isn’t?

I think we should where alternates on Senior Day voted on by Seniors–they wore the G four years. I don’t like alternates but kids that run 4.4’s and blow people up do. To bad any revenue boost from sales of different jerseys doesn’t offset monies ticket holders pay.

I actually agree about Donnan being a good ambassador. He seems to be back in the fold now that Kirby is coaching. He refers to UGA as “we” in his interviews and has said he goes to practices. It is encouraging to me, at least, to see a former coach (who was fired) come back around and support UGA.

I think it would be cool to have the red britches/white tops as an alternate road wear once a year, similar to how Kirby is currently doing with the black jerseys.

Not allowed. Red and black are not school colors. And the uniforms have never changed in the 125 year history of Georgia football.

If the four seniors would find it meaningful to have black jerseys, then I don’t see the conflict.
