“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
Hope the crowd stayed to give them the ovation they deserved.

The problem is that it was such a blowout that the crowd did being to thin early in the 4th.

Touché. In my own defense, I did post that while stuck in gridlock on the east campus park deck. But advice well taken.

The parking deck gridlock is why I don’t park in parking decks.

We were stuck there last night for the first time ever. No traffic at all once we got out of the deck. Next year we have to pay to park there.

Was proud to watch thise seniors. Really awesome to see great players delaying multimillion dollar paychecks to get a degree and play one more year of college ball. Good job fellas.

Was a pleasure to watch Sony and Nick work live one last time. Find memories of those two for the last few years. With that said, “the future’s so bright, I gotta wear shades.” Zeus and Swift should provide continued excitement in the run game.

Whoa, Duke hammered Tech. I wonder what that means for game time?

Probably going to make it a noon game. May be for the better in all honesty, while night games are always nice, it’d likely mean 3.5+ hours of Kirk Herbstreit.

I don’t know when they said this on DAWG 247: “No. 7 Georgia (10-1, 7-1 SEC) will face Georgia Tech (5-5) next Saturday on ABC at either noon ET or 8 p.m. ET, with the nighttime kickoff being the more likely option. Then the Bulldogs will either face No. 1 Alabama or No. 6 Auburn in the SEC Championship Dec. 2, held for the first time in newly-opened Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.”

What are the other options? I looked but my brain isn’t working, so I can’t sort it out.
Maybe Notre Dame-Stanford, but that’s all I got now.

Only others I can think of are the Apple Cup and West Virginia at Oklahoma.

Awesome day for them!
Slow start but a good rebound. I think we know what we are now. It’ll take our best shot(lol) to compete in the SECC. Hopefully we got all the bad stuff out against Auburn and can at least play a clean game. Not to get too far ahead…and here’s to redemption against Tech next Saturday.

It was a great day, but this same game plan will not work against Auburn or Alabama. After seeing the chart of Fromm’s passes I watched him closely. He does not even look to the right. Mainly, he stares down Wims. Chaney needs to recognize this fact. Also, we will not be able to run Michel and Chubb exclusively up the middle. It is fun to beat up bad teams, but absent some serious adjustments, we are being set up for disappointment in the SEC Championship game

Agree. I will say that Fromm’s performance and technique were noticeably different after the success of his run. He needs to be confident and trust the line or he gets happy feet.

Life and football are not always fair (see Aaron Murray’s last home game), so the fact that Chubb, Sony, and Wims combined for 6 touchdowns, and Aaron Davis had an interception, is really something to relish. For once, the results befit the character of some DGDs.

Years from now we’ll all look back and recognize these guys as the ones who laid the foundation for all the great things to come. It sure has been fun watching them.

Those guys staying was huge and a rarity today in college football. DGD’s. All of them.
If there is a God he should at a minimum grin at us during the SECCG as a win there would be about as poetic an ending to the season as we could hope for.

It was nice seeing Ramsey in the victory formation too. Should have symbolically punted as time ran out for good measure.

That might have been his last act as a Dawg, but it would have been cool. Wouldn’t have hurt anything, and he might prefer being remembered for that. Sorry it didn’t work out for him but he tried. I always thought it was a long shot given his HS offense. Good luck to him.

We stayed until the band stopped playing. You could feel the team step up in the 2nd quarter. It was great to see the crowd stay in the game. Also great to see the seniors shine.

This senior class has been through a LOT! WOW!
They won 20 games in their first two years, and yet saw their head coach get the boot (not starting an argument here, just laying down facts as the kids would have seen it).
In 4 years they’ve already won 38 games, with at least 3 more to go. Breaking 40 is definitely within reach.
They lost 3 in a row to Florida, then obliterated them and got their coach fired.
It looked like they’d never win an SEC East crown, and finally got one (maybe more?).
There are 2 RBs on the roster will likely end up 2nd and 3rd in total yards at Tailback U. That is incredible.
Sad to see them go, and hope somehow they get the ultimate prize.

He will cause he’s a DGD.. He turned down scholly’s to smaller programs, and more elite schools academically, to be an invited walk on. He’s been there four years. He’s missed one practice in four years. He’s never missed a class, work out or meeting. He’s on the SEC Academic Honor Roll, or at least has been in the past. He was Scout Team Offensive Player of the Year last year and won the Iron Dawg Award during the CMR era. He will graduate in the spring from Terry with a degree in Finance. He’s bulked himself up from about 188 lbs when he arrived to about 215 lbs now. He’s 6’3” tall. And after all this and more there.. they never let him play one snap in a game. Not one. and Ramsey quits in the spring, then they let him come back and he gets in last night. The Georgia Way, indeed.

Anyone see Chubb blow off Cleveland’s lift-off attempt in favor of Wynn, the guy whose block sprung Chubb on his big run? It was funny but I also felt kinda bad.

Wynn is one of his roommates.

Real talk time: Bama or Auburn? I want a shot at redemption and I don’t think it’ll matter who we’re playing If we shoot ourselves in the foot again. I mean, I want whoever wins the Iron Bowl but I hope it’s Auburn. I may regret saying this later but whatever.
Yeah, I know this isn’t the right place but the question has been bugging me. Yes, I know Tech beat us last year. I haven’t forgotten about them.
