Reason #58492 why I don’t follow recruiting closely

High school player has a suggestion for Georgia’s coaching staff.

I would love to be a fly on the wall whenever the kid tells Kirby that.

By all means, go ahead and voice your thoughts. While you’re at it, tell Kirby you want to wear actual Silver Britches and get rid of Seven Nation Army and Teenage Wasteland.

It is literally the last time your opinion will be humored for 3-4 years. Opine away.

Mr. Haselwood, we have a Mr. Blankenship for you on line one.

Might not go like you think. Recruiter that he is Kirby would probably pretend to entertain the suggestion. I’d like to be a fly on the wall if the kid signs and tries to make suggestions while on the roster.

Meh, I don’t really mind this kinda stuff. Recruiting is his site’s bag and a lot of what they sell. I find the “yeah told ya that’s what I was vaguely hinting at when I said something big was gonna happen” tweet whenever any kind of news breaks kind of annoying. That and watched him go on some long profanity-laced rant about how he was figured out how bad the 2013 class was before anyone else figured it out and everyone else was just waking up to what he’d known much longer, which was not exactly earthshaking revelation.

He is actually a very nice guy. A little bit of a smart ass but who isn’t?

I can believe that. I don’t have any serious beef. Live and let live and if I don’t want to read it, just move on.

Any media member who claims to have foreseen 10+ transfers and several other underperforming recruits is patently FOS. Might not bother you, but I can’t stand it.

Doesnt everyone want to see Fields playing more?

      I do….

The goal line in Jax would have been a good time.

I don’t think the kid should be saying this shit publicly and wouldn’t mind if he moved on frankly.

The Blaylock kid seems like a better fit.

No room or time for prima donnas at UGA.

Take your drama down the street…

That extra 10 pounds (Fields) would not have helped. They were in the backfield when the ball was snapped. Kirby & crew stubbornness is what failed them (“imposing will). After it did not work a few times, spread the D’ out with your offensive set & go from there imo. Fields will get his chance, not the right time.

Agree 100% on everything else you said…

Put the kid in the shotgun and they have to defend a lot more things.

Chances are the first one, he tucks and scores.

Can’t sell out like they did and get away with it.

I personally hate going shotgun in the situation but if you can’t get push, you can’t get push.

I think CKS liked the first yard and bit qb sneak for a 1st down (I know I did) and thought they could do it again if they kept at it.

Put Fromm in the shotgun and they have to defend more also. But, CKS says WE MUST IMPOSE OUR WILL.

I think we probably did get it in, but couldn’t get the refs to agree. Next time, They need to get Jordan Davis opposite their nose guard. I think he might out physical most people.

Exactly. Would love to have him but I would rather have and elite 0 technique DT or an elite pass rusher.

For all I know Haselwood may be right. But whatever college he attends, he’s gonna be mighty disappointed to find no coach is interested in his opinions about who should or shouldn’t be playing.

Agreed and I’d rather take a kid who understands this going in.

His De- Recruitment is going to be ugly no matter where he lands. He will go from the center of the universe to another number on the squad. How many times have we heard of a kid being a day one starter who gets buried for a year or two by kids who understand the schemes, have been coached up and spend time in an elite college S and C program? We have 5 or 6 from our 2018 class who are just trying to get into the rotation.

  9. If he can’t block downfield, it won’t matter who’s behind center. Just ask D-Rob.

Someone tell Kirby to invite this kid to a practice. He’ll see plenty of Fields.

Pretty shitty to tweet that and then have the link behind the paywall. If you’re not a paying subscriber you have no clue what he said- using him as click bait and the only thing it does is piss people off and think less of the kid.

How do you know he didn’t say: “I’d love to see Justin play more, I think he’s an amazing QB. But so is Jake Fromm. But whether he plays or not has no impact on my decision about Georgia.”

Dick move by Radi if you ask me.

Agreed. Did he offer the opinion unsolicited? Was he asked a specific question? Lots of context lost here. About the only thing certain is that Kirby doesn’t GAS.

Sounds like another Odell Beckham, Jr. or Terrell Owens in the making. This team does not need a prima donna head case.

I will give the disclaimer that I really don’t know that much about Haselwood. I know he is super talented but I don’t like the impression he gives. He may be a perfectly nice kid but with his feeling so free to give his opinions about who should play and making it know “I want to see the ball in the air more if I’m going to sign” makes me glad he dexommitted and I hope he decides to go somewhere out west. He comes off like a primadona and as someone else said, a head case, who has a very misplaced sense of his own importance. He seems like a potential locker room cancer for somebody. As Derek said, Blaylock seems like a much better fit. And while I’m on the subject, if Emery is scared of the depth chart I hope he goes elsewhere too.
