It’s Thanksgiving at GTP, so that can only mean one thing.
If it ain’t broke, and all…
Anyway, life may not be perfect, but there’s a helluva lot to be thankful for. Make sure your friends and family know that.
And thanks to all you guys, too, for sticking around and making this joint what it is.
Have a great Thanksgiving…

Thank you, Senator for having the best UGA football blog in the internet world!

Agreed, thanks Senator!

Unfortunately, it is just about the only UGA football blog left. 8-10 years ago, there were at least a dozen blogs that were worth checking out. Bernie, Dawg in Exile, Georgia Sports Blog, The Grit Tree, Lucid Idiocy, Catfish and Cornbread, The Lady Sportswriter, Ben Dukes, etc. have disappeared in the past couple of years. Hell, I even miss Sports and Grits. Other than GTP, the only thing left is monetized click-bait garbage.

Kind of strange considering how successful the team has been the last two seasons.

With all the vitriol and name calling in the Playpen, it’s hard to believe the readers of this blog could agree on anything. Yet we all love the Dawgs! Thanks to everyone for making this the only blog that is fit to read.

It’s that bad, huh? I stay out of the Playpen for my own mental health, but I’m glad the Senator made it a thing. Football posts have been much more enjoyable now that they’re (mostly) politics-free.
I’m grateful for this blog and all the contributors. Thanks Senator for giving us all a place to get our daily fix of Dawg news and analysis. I’m sure it’s not easy to blog about college football every single day, but we all appreciate it.
Hope everyone has a relaxing Thanksgiving. Go dawgs!

Someone mentioned a few days ago about how Cojones has been missing for a few weeks. Nothing has changed since that I have seen since. With all the happenings in the college football world, and especially with the Dawgs, that is more than a little strange, and concerning. I would say he may have gone to set up a business in Canada recently, but even then he would have internet access and stayed tuned in. If anyone has any news, please pass it along.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, enjoy your family and friends today and may all Dawg fans have much to be enjoy on the next two Saturdays!

Very thoughtful post Mac. I knew there was something not right the past few weeks. I couldn’t put my finger on it, but now realize it was that my favorite liberal, Cojones, is missing. Its happened once or twice before, so I’m not too worried. Hopefully he is just in a pot induced stupor somewhere.

Cojones checked in two weeks ago. He was still suffering problems from the hurricane. Cojones, if you are reading, please let us know you are OK.

Thanks, I missed that. Hurricane damage is temporary and can be overcome, unless it drowned his entire stash and he is suffering severe health issues from withdrawal.

Happy Thanksgiving. I can’t let today go by without paying my respects to my buddy, Andy Stein, who was KIA 50 years ago today in Operation Meade River. He was a great high school gymnast and went to Oklahoma on a scholarship. He was small but so strong that he was made a machine gunner humping a 60. I was way down south in the Delta when he got killed and didn’t find out until xmas.

Very nice acknowledgement of his service and his family’s loss. The U S military is the very best of our government these days. Thanks to all those who continue to serve and respond as needed.

He was a great guy, funny as hell and always into something. He had a Suzuki X6 Hustler and I had a Honda 150 Dream and we drove those things all over Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.

Happy Thanksgiving Senator, and all the great readers and posters here.
Thanks for keeping this blog going and maintaining it at such a high standard.
It is the only sports blog I read now. Over the years, so many have either closed up by choice, failed, or turned to shit.
Thank you!

Hail to “The Senator”, can make you laugh, can make you cry. If he only had Larry Muson’s Voice that would be perfection. Only a few in life are destined to touch people in the manner of Larry and The Senator”. A chosen few !
