… at least they’re not kidding themselves about the Georgia game.
“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
While there’s a lot of realism there, there’s a StinkTalk undertone from some of their more delusional commenters like using the “dwags.”
Tooth Nation, we’re coming.

A couple of weeks ago I saw a Vol fan refer to the future game against us as an impending “colon scramble”. I thought it was the comment of the century.

Not saying Dawg fans haven’t been impressive recently in their success gaining tickets to visiting stadiums, but the public chatter needs to be dialed back. Just go about your business and buy tickets without the “in your face” guarantees of what you will accomplish. Does three negative things, imo, 1) it raises ticket prices for those UGA fans wanting to go, 2) makes the home crowd go into “bunker mentality” by more resolving to go to the games to protect their turf, and 3) makes us look for obnoxious, bragging Bama fans with a “look at me” attitude. Go just in stealth mode, and accomplish the mission. This whole “checker Neyland” drive is the worst thought ever, and doomed to do nothing but fail. Crap, we couldn’t even find seats in our stadium last home game.

I agree the checker boarding thing was totally dumb for all the reasons that you stated. I would have preferred UGA fans just quietly go up to UTK and paint it red. I live in Chattanooga and I know there are UT fans with tickets now attending the game that originally had not planned to just so this could not possibly happen. I am hopeful that they will be leaving by half-time. I will be heading up with my brethren 8 strong to cheer on the Dawgs. I would encourage any North Georgia or Chattanooga Dawgs to come on up….never forget about the 90s.

That checkerboard idea was dumb and naive. You want to show them up, then just go and wear your red. That’s how it works.

My favorite comment…
Only good thing is while he’s out dogging Tennessee on the recruiting trail (face it people, they all do), Pruitt can tell the recruit “listen to what he said about Tennessee on camera, do you want to play for someone who lies to you?”

Then he (Pruitt) would point to the brussel sprouts and say “what are those things?”

They could tell Slingblade that they were baby cabbages and he’d believe them.

They are delusional about him being behind the checkboarding that is fan led not Kirby.

Yeah, we will try to checkerboard their stadium with our colors (similar to planting our flag on their logo) and they will carry out their fan frustration against us – in their house. Nothing good fan-wise will happen otherwise. Just imagine that Tenn is visiting us and the shoe is on the other foot and on national tv. What would you plan in retaliation? And wouldn’t you keep it quiet?

The first thing I’d do is not put my tickets on StubHub.
