Okay, that’s funny.

Score one for Shane Beamer at SEC Media Days.

Let’s see if his sense of humor remains intact at season’s end.

All that is missing is the asshole personality.

I have a feeling he’s gonna need it.

I’m just sitting here trying to guess which fast food place he’s at. I’m going with Arby’s. Zaxby’s would be my second guess, but maybe that’s because I can’t get it here in MD.

Actually, I take that back. It looks like the JD in Hoover (next to the Galleria), but in the first photo there are ketchup/condiment stations. I don’t think I recall those there.

That’s funny, the condiment stations are what made me think it was Arby’s. We have way too much time on our hands.

Spurrier’s was def in an Arby’s, I remember when that pic came out. Beamer went with a place that serves Coke, so at least he has that going for him.

Just noticed it is the same background, so same place. Has to be Arby’s. So I guess Arby’s switched to Coke.

Got to give Shane credit for his creative humor. Good luck to him.

In the background, that young gentleman is looking in the media guide and asks his dad…”What’s an ol’ ball sack”…

I’d be feeling snappy too if I was being paid $2.75 million with a country club and car allowance for being a mediocre mid tier position coach with a nice last name.

Heard him on SXM 84 for a bit yesterday. He certainly sounds confident about his D, and about the things he picked up from his time at UGA and OU, plus his own little twists he will add. I don’t have any beef with him, but I was a little surprised by the confidence he was projecting. Honestly, what else was he going to say? “We suck, and I hope I’m still here in 3 years”? Maybe he knows something the rest of us don’t.

  8. Beamer seems to be one of these guys who doesn’t take this too seriously. It’s too bad he’s at South Carolina. I would be happy if they beat the Handbags, the Greater Anderson Cow College, the Vowels and the Greater Opelika Cow College. If they lost every other game on the schedule, that would be all right by me.

Sort of a cross between CRM and Junior. We’ll see if he can coach as well.
I, too wish him luck against those teams you mention.
(He was at a disadvantage in this photo-op. Nobody in the world can match the snark on TOBS’s mug)

I’m good with your position, ee. I will add…

      Dear Kirby,
Please don’t tank another game to South Carolina.

  9. Why would you want to idolize or immortalize a sack of shit that quit on your team mid season? The old ball sack just up and quit on the Lame Cocks…did they forget that shit so quickly over there?

“After six games, we were 2-4 with two blow-outs by Georgia and LSU. We were behind at halftime against UCF (a team that went 0-12 this year). We were definitely going in the wrong direction. I felt that I was doing a lousy job as head coach and a change would help our team become more competitive.”

Fuck that old has been .

      Because he’s a goddamn legend.

I mean, I’m all for hating on Spurrier, but he won 11 games in multiple season and the SEC East at Carolina, the ACC with Duke, and made Florida. Dude is one of the greatest coaches of all time. And one of the great shit-talkers of all time too.

      • He didn’t win a SEC title at South Carolina, his bowl record over 26 years of coaching was 11-10, his bowl record at USC was barely above 500, (none of those numbers include his illustrious career in the NFL) had he stopped coaching (more importantly running his sasshole) after his 12th year, I might be inclined to give him credit where it was due. There are several more coaches I’d call legends before him…the guy used to practice his little quips in front of the mirror…I have no use for the doochebag and anyone who imitates him.
