Monday morning buffet

  • In case you missed it in all the coaching news out there, Hawaii dealt another body blow to the WAC by announcing its departure for the Mountain West Conference.

Looks like Malzahn to Vandy is a done deal.

It appears Vandy just became the #1 offense in the SEC. Malzahn’s record is pretty stout. It will be very interesting to see how he handles his own show.

Nice analysis on SOS. I have often opined that one reason SEC programs do so well when they get to the title game is that they usually face such a guantlet getting there, they are battle tested.

Since the inception of SEC division play, only one SEC program has failed to win a national title once they earn the rgiht to play for it. That was Florida in 1995, and they faced what was arguably one of the finest college football teams ever
