“We’ve got good depth at dog”, revisited.

It seems that Vince Dooley’s aphorism is being tested.

My sincere condolences to the Seiler family.

This sucks. Bruce was barely out of puppyhood; I thought he was going to stick around a while.

RIP and condolences. Hopefully we will get to see the return of Russ the Temporary Mascot to the field and the GTP comments section.

Well, we’ve got good depth at Nose….Jenkins picked us.

    Russ would approve of this.

We find this whole thing more than passing strange.

We know not what the future holds, but Russ will be ready if called on, although a return to the fray may impact Russ’s social security payments, since, as has been pointed out by Sonny, Russ is too old.

    Russ appreciates your continued interest.

I too extend my condolences to the Seiler family and “UGA” family.
Dawg alums are going thru a “rough time” for about a year. Hopefully this is the last of bad news for awhile.
We have had some good news in recent weeks with recruiting. Hopefully that continues with the new hires.
Where is that pup Crowell had at signing? Looked like a great duo for Sanford Stadium to me!

Not speaking badly of the dead but Uga VIII never acted healthy to me. For a young pup he just never displayed any energy or pep. It may have been because the beginning stages of the disease was making it’s presence known, but I thought the reason for the delay was to let him “prove” he had the characteristics looked for in an Uga. He stayed in the house a lot more than usual from what I saw. Here’s hoping a “dream Uga” steps up to work with this new, enthusiastic group of players.

So sad. He was really such a beautiful dog.

Going forward, we need to just go ahead and sign Russ instead of going year-to-year on his scholly. To heck with this “white” theme. Let’s get back to basics.

The tradition of the greatest live mascot in college football history is simply too important to too many people around Bulldog Nation to become warped by generations of inbreeding.

I understand that this is their family pet, and can do as they wish with their property, however, I wish that the Seiler family, with the assistance of the UGA Athletic Association, should seek out a suitable bulldog from a bulldog rescue organization to start a new bloodline for our majestic mascot.

    A true “junkyard dawg.”
