“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
Don’t make him angry. You wouldn’t like him when he’s angry.

I don’t like it when he’s angry. I LOVE IT! Evil Richt is the greatness.

Looks like CMR has not YET accepted his persona as “EVIL RICHT”.

I guess its all about what you have, not what you don’t have…Mark Richt has won more football games than I have…soooooo OK, Go you damn JJ Green, GATA!!!

Gee, I didn’t think it was that bad. If that’s the grumpiest he gets the guy is a saint.

Once Richt reacts like this, then it will be worth posting about.
To be fair to Bill, the 1:07 mark happen to be an exact replica of my reaction after the LSU 3rd and 22 conversion.

Can’t blame him. Perhaps a better question would be about starting line ups for Missouri game. Who are our receivers now? Wooten, Conley, McGowan, and then who? I hope we have a steady dose of tight ends this weekend. What’s the status on Rome? Is he healthy?
Who lines up behind Green and Douglas, Harton(sp?)?

Agree. The next wave of players at the receiver and tailback positions have become relevant. We have good players there. Who is ready?

The talk is Turman was headed for a redshirt…be interesting to see what happens there…

I saw Rome looking good at the end of the UT game, so assume he is serviceable. My query is rather how did the Vols defense Lynch so well on Saturday. He had one ball go off his hands in the endzone and that was it!
WRs (as I see them) would go: 1)Conley … 2)Wooten … 3a)Reggie Davis … 3b)McGowan … 5)Tibbs
—>Though McGowan was getting the nod over Davis in Knoxville.

I don’t understand why he thinks he needs to apologize, but that’s just me.

This dovetails nicely with his quote from last week about being focused; doesn’t want to spend the week talking about who won’t play, rather who will!

Hell, he’s not half as grumpy as I am when I think about the injuries.

After the game, I admit I got a lttle “too negative” about it.
The hangover is gone now.

I’m less worried about the actual names on the starting line-up for the Missouri game, and more worried about the overall *psychology* of the Missouri game. If we can work up an early lead, that will of course be huge for our guys’ confidence. But I also figure it’ll be disastrous for Missouri’s confidence. They’re coming in thinking that they’re playing against a “lesser” Georgia offense, and before they know it, that “lesser” squad just put ’em in a two-touchdown hole.
But of course, it’ll all be moot if the defense can’t get a stop or two …

That Franklin/”Tanklin” guy has me concerned acting as a 2nd RB. The OLBers are going to be under constant pressure run & pass. But then I glance at their results and see that they have surrendered at least 23 points to Toledo, Indiana and Vandy. It leads me to the conclusion that even with the offensive attrition the Dawgs can win another shootout. Say like the Cocks’ tilt.

Unfortunately, Turd, we have been assuring ourselves with the “if we can work up an early lead” hopes every game.
Uga blew a 21-14 lead at Cempson, a 17-3 lead at uSC, a 24-17 lead over LSU (they came back to tie twice), a 21-7 lead vs N. Texas, and a 17-3 lead at Tenn (they scored 28 after halftime).
I’ve resigned myself to expect gut-wrenching games, with close wins and possible a crushing loss or two.

The issue is it seems the O kinda goes into idle once we get a lead and the D just implodes.

The intelligence of the sports news media and talk shows. All they know is the past. Those players are gone for the season and for several games. Those injuries are tough on coaches, too. Hard not to understand how CMR is wearing his feelings about it. One would think the media would understnad it too

Paul Rhodes channeled a little Mike Gundy after his team got ripped off by the Big 12 refs the other night so it’s not him.

Off subject but our D has not made enough turnovers to put the O in many short fields..Aaron has had to make long drives to save us and I don’t know how many more times we can pull the chestnuts out of the fire. It’s time for the D coaches to simplify the damn scheme so the freshman can play faster. We look like a Chinese fire drill half the time out there. One thing about that though is the opponent can’t figure your D out if the D doesn’t know what the hell they are doing either.

Seems like our D has dropped a sure INT in every game this year. This can’t go on all year so maybe the rest of the season our LB’s and safeties will reverse that trend and start holding onto some picks.

+1. The DBs don’t know what coverage they are in half the time. That’s the root cause of the problem. They can’t be aggressive because they are thinking too much.

I have asked this before, but was there not an intentional, targeting, helmet hit by Tennessee’s Janel Reeves-Maybin on Collin Barber during the blocked punt resulting in a TD. Has UGA AD office made a protest about this. Reports are Barber has a concussion, and those can be serious. There was no call by the officials. When I saw it I wonder why there was no call. Video replay show UT went above the shoulders to the lower front of helmet for the hit.

It was basically just like the Murray hit last year.

Which also should have been called.

If true, that should have nullified the UT TD on the punt block. Just another blown call in that game by an incompetent/biased crew of SEC refs.
