Get The Picture 
I read an article the other day where they talked to a couple of agents about the RB situation. Both agents said they had no plans to pursue RB’s as clients in the near future, unless it was a can’t-miss Adrian Peterson type of player. That really drove home to me just how devalued the position has become, none of the top agents are even interested in signing RB’s as clients.

Good RBs are valuable, but they aren’t in short supply either. If you have a strong OL that can create a hole, with WRs and a QB that can keep defenses from overloading a box and creating too much of a traffic jam for them to operate, there’s plenty of guys that can grind you yards.
Just look at last year, Gurley is amazing and a special talent. But it’s not like the offense struggled when Green and Douglas were carrying the load.

Correct…top draft picks are now being designated to your franchise QB, DL pass rusher, and the shutdown DB or big, strong WR to handle the inside slant. You can get a decent Alabama RB late in the first or 2nd round, UGA and other leading college rushers in the late 2nd through 4th rounds.
If we can just get Jerry to hire Saban, who will then line-up the O in a power I and jam the ball down the opponent’s throats while operating a stifling D and you’ll see the lemmings shift their focus in the NFL again.

I care who plays, I want the best guys that Pruitt selects. What I don’t care about is what number they wear, the name on the back of their jersey, whether they are sophomores, freshmen, or seniors, or how many stars they had coming out of HS.

+1. I also want to see as many guys on the field as are deserving, and who can help us.
Developing depth is a great advantage in the college game. And there ARE, always, plenty of opportunities during the season to play more guys, if that’s what you really want to do.

If Jenkins and Floyd have good years, I think we cannot help but be better on defense. Making QBs throw in a hurry, and containing the runs, takes immense pressure off the DBs. I was surprised at how little impact Jenkins had last season after what we saw from him in 2012. I realize that Jarvis opened things up for Jenkins but he just was not a significant factor in games last year. Let’s hope that was his sophomore slump and now he will play to make a name for himself.

Good observation. He definitely didn’t look like the same player.
But Jenkins’ slump was self-inflicted. He decided to watch video games last year instead of participating in summer activities. Didn’t put in the work, and it stood out on the field.

Where do you get your stuff? Slump? Show me the numbers. Honestly, I don’t care if you played the tube in college and went on to the New York Symphony. Jenkins improved across the board. Met several projections and was productive. Now I wasn’t a football intellectual in the 4th grade but I played for some outstanding coaches that would eat your coaches lunch. Seriously. And I don’t pull stuff outta my ass. Just sayin’ Video games indeed. And you know this how? Stop it! You’re better than this. Mac is too.

Shame on me? Macallan? LOL. You mean, you actually think you can go by a vote that put Jenkins on a 2nd team list? And that teels you what kind of year he had? LOL. Shame on you.
Bacarri Rambo made 1st team All-America one year. Jenkins selection to that team wasn’t that much of a joke, but neither was it an accurate reflection of his year.

And it has been going on for several years. The media writers jack him up and his play in games take him down. He seems to have a mental block when it comes to pocket passing. He’s also gun shy. If he isn’t crashing the line like FB Timmie then he’s pretty much a wtf! QB.
I think it’s all a fake and their new QB will suddenly show up in the Fall.

The NFL MVP usually plays the whole season, whereas the QB’s who ‘barrel their way to first downs’ get injured, like driskel did.

If you don’t want the student-athlete’s to consider themselves employees, then you better quit using language like “You’re fired” on the practice field.
Jordan Jenkins reference JHC getting “fired” from UGA in an article about JHC’s transfer to Louisville.

I like it. I don’t care how Pruitt gets the message across. Just as long as he demands that certain high standard, and won’t tolerate less. It’s what we’ve lacked for the last 8-9 years.

Hope we have someone who advertises that he is going to work all summer to challenge Jenkins in the Fall. That may get him off his TV game-playing ass. Someone with the same attitude and ability of Aaron Davis.
