“If Auburn hadn’t given him that chance, there’s a good chance Nick would be playing for Kansas State on Thursday night.”

Making tonight’s Auburn-Kansas State tilt the Battle of the Second Chance U’s.

They should come up with a trophy for that.  Other than Nick Marshall, I mean.

Nice Midwesterners in Bill Snyder Family Stadium brace themselves for the invasion by SEC Illuminati body-snatchers. In unrelated news, Bill is writing a thank you notes to Gus for taking Nick, to Andrea Adelson/Heather Dinich for not writing or talking about the Big XII/12 and to Bo Pellini asking him to leave the league

  2. I expect Kansas St to cover the spread, if not win outright. Gah, I hate Auburn!!!

  3. I hate Auburn, too. And hate pulling for them. But it’s in our best interest for Auburn not to lose. So I’ll watch with dispassion.

Sorry , not pulling for Sleaziest Lil Village on the Plains for the sake of SOS points in the playoff seeding.

Do not really care who wins…that said why is it good for UGA for AU to win ever?

      • Long story, PTC. Basically, as a League, the way things have played out, we’re all in this together, whether we like it or not.

What’s good for the SEC is good for Georgia, and vice versa. If Auburn loses, it has a negative effect on the League and could have a negative, and direct, effect on us at some point. That’s just the system.

I understand everybody’s feeling, I’m one of you. Inside the League, screw ’em. But outside, it affects us too. Sometimes the effect isn’t significant, in terms of direct impact. But you never know when it might turn out to be.

Watch K State struggle with Iowa State two weeks ago where they had to rally to steal a game they deserved to lose. They will be amped for sure, and home dogs are legendary on Thursday night games, but the men from the halfway house should win. I say that but it is raining today in Manhattan so we know how that can affect the better teams, great equalizer.

Very impressed with how well Marshall threw the football last night.

Yeah me too. He looked really good throwing and would have had a lot more yards if his receivers would have held onto the ball. I think Auburn is going to have problems on defense this year but they are still going to win a lot of games because they can score with anyone. I am anxious to see how they play against LSU and TAMU.
