Shorter Michael Cunningham: Georgia fans should be as impressed as I am with Todd Grantham coaching Charlie Strong’s players against the 122nd ranked strength of schedule as compared to Jeremy Pruitt coaching what’s left of Todd Grantham’s players against the 13th ranked strength of schedule.
Really, AJ-C, you’re not even trying anymore.
Terence Moore, it’s like ye never left…

Ok, your comment made me wonder where Terrence Moore is these days. Per wikipedia he is teaching trolling at the college level.
“Moore also is spending the 2014 Fall Semester at Miami (Ohio) University teaching an upper-level course he devised called “Sports Reporting in a Digital Age.””

He is also called upon to wax indignant about great matters in journalism today, as I caught him (for no good reason b/c I might view CNN 30 mins./week) “breaking down” the intricacies of spousal abuse in the League.

Well then I am NOT clicking on that link to feed the AJC troll.

Literally too stupid to insult. Come talk to me after The kids that learned fundamentals under Strong are gone. Willie had a good defense in 2005 too.

I’m sure we’d have been awesome (for a long time no less) if Grantham and the cast offs had returned. Remind me again who “developed” the players on our crappy defense?
I’ll be the first to admit Grantham had me fooled after 2011. But Cunningham why don’t you do me a favor and give me a call when a Grantham coached defense actually stops a decent offense for an entire game mkay? Cuz that would be the first in the dude’s entire career as a DC.

Also don’t look now but for all the issues on defense we’ve actually improved in total, scoring, & rush defense, pass defense is relatively unchanged.
But yeah tell me how the guy who set school records for points and yards allowed would’ve been awesome.

Oh, the AJC is definitely trying. They just aren’t trying to do anything remotely resembling journalism.

C’mon guys, Louisville shut down Wake Forrest this weekend. Give Grantham some credit.

A rebuilding Wake. While Weak Forest is usually mediocre, they are actually rebuilding this year so their are worse than their normal selves.

Wake Forest doesn’t rebuild. They reload. 😉

Newspaper biz has been a dead horse for nearly a decade. I don’t read a print-version newspaper any longer, but I do visit this blog every day that I am able. Relevance is all.

Loved it in the Troy game how CJP emptied the bench to develop for the future … At the end we had Kosta Valas and Rankin at ILB!
CTG would have left the starters out there until the final second to preserve the shutout … In fact, I can recall him inserting the starters back into a blowout game to do just that!

I have to think that Grantham is a good coach. I dont think he was a good fit for the Georgia culture and that detracted from his coaching.
Obviously UGA has played a much tougher schedule and i suspect that UGA will field a top 25 defense by the end of the season and that will be good enough for this year.

Carvell is working on a spin off article that will be titled something like “commit spurns Georgia for Alabama”. Oh…is it alright that I talk about journalism since in not a journalist?

I am, and yes, cause that’s pretty funny.

Any end in sight to what social media has forced journalism to become? It’s all TMZ and Don Lemon as the face. Stir shit and get facts later.

Nope…as long as the consumer prefers bullshit to real journalism horror shows like TMZ will prosper.
The only way to combat this is not read the bullshit. Read a real newspaper, online, whatever.

Well I was including newspapers, too, though to a lesser extent. I’ve given up on any level of objectivity and facts from news on tv. It was difficult enough sifting through political agendas without this report first, facts later approach. Add in some inflammatory BS and that’s it for me. Anyway…I’m off topic.

Beat this DIF … watched it on a black and white, in dubbed in Japanese. Nihongo o hanasemasen. You could turn the sound down and listen to it in English on the radio.

Yeah…that was pretty cool DIF.
Anybody notice that Tom Petty was in Nashville the 23rd at Bridgestone Arena? I had tickets… Section 1 Row19 on the floor. Alas… my leg in a cast. My youngest took a fellow (fella ? hoz that work?) lady law student from Texas in my leave and with his uncles ticket. They got back to the Classic City at 4 in the AM and attended classes. Anybody else remember that? Was that prudent? lol. I asked him about it and he said… “the Oldsters were pretty cool and did some 1 hitters but some of the kids his age were all passed out curled up in their seats. Embarrassing.* Kids today right?. http://www.tompetty.com/blog/nashville-tn-recap-setlist-photos-403601#comments

I missed them in West Palm on September 20 because I was in Tampa that weekend and they played there on Sunday, September 21. Permission was not granted for a Sunday night concert. The old guys can certainly still play though

The AJC could concoct any set of metrics that “prove” that Grantham’s D at Louisville in better than Pruitt’s at UGA and you still wouldn’t be able to find 6 UGA fans that would say they want Grantham back.

I want him back between the hedges…on the other sideline.

It’s like they all took a weekend class by Terrence Moore on how to bolster your career in Atlanta by writing pieces that aggitate the local fan base to get more views. The AJ-C is now up there with having to listen to Verne and Danielson, miserable.

I’ll tell you one person who is damned glad he’s not in Athens trying to cobble together a defense with the dregs left after Grantham’s recruits left the stage for every reason you can think of….Todd Fucking Grantham.
