Georgia – Georgia Tech tickets are Chantastically priced.

That’s right, campers.  You can buy a three-pack including the Georgia game for a hundred bucks.  And considering you have a choice of tickets to the North Carolina, Pitt and Virginia Tech games which you can certainly resell on line to fill out the pack, you ought to be able to come out at the end with a Georgia ticket for a very reasonable price.

If they’re gonna play like Georgia is the home team, they might as well charge like it, too.

Only two Thursday night home games this year.

Tech is movin’ on up to the big time!

Looks like it’s $100 for Georgia, plus you still pay face for the other two. I’m getting a grand total of $449.50 for a pair of seats to three games.

May just wait and see whether the UGA ticket office comes through for me.

Yeah, same here. That price isn’t worth it to me.

That’s the same price you’ll pay via the UGA ticket office, but without the other games for re-sale purposes. Best bet maybe to buy them on the street day of the game because I can’t see that $100 price holding up there.

Plus the location of the seats Tech is selling directly are probably much better than the allotment given to the UGA ticket office.

They are $90 via the UGA ticket office.

And you’re kind of ignoring the fact that you’re paying $128.50 for UNC and VaTech (substitute in Pitt for either if you’d like). You’re never going to recoup that amount by selling them. You’d be lucky to get half of it back.

I did this a few years ago and it was a bad deal – sold first game for about a $20/ticket loss, and then could not get anything for Thursday Night Lights game with VT….

Maybe if they had some screamin fast wifi. Then would it be worth it?

It might, assuming seizure inducing scoreboards, blaring music, and really long & plentiful TV timeouts are part of the deal.

And they have to do this after their best season in years. Wow, what a sports fan base they have.

I know I’m in the vast minority, but time to end the series with this Mickey Mouse program

We legitimize them with every loss and are expected to win every game. No upside. Plus it frees up scheduling for bigger and better things

But…but what about that state championship?

UGA is scheduling Ga. Southern regularly….

We have to play them. Much easier to keep them down that way. Look at TX and A&M. Plus, what other P5 school are we going to schedule that we only lose to once a decade and isn’t seen as a bottom-dweller in their conference? We can barely manage that with Vandy and Kentucky.

Still, I hate them so much I wish they would have to discontinue football for some reason.

I agree. Would rather play Clemson every year or heck sign a series or two with Texas or Oklahoma(teams we rarely play), but I doubt the old money would allow that to happen.

Nope. Until we’ve retaken the “most wins in a row” (they won 8 in a row back in the 50s, but never more than 3 wins per decade in the past 40 years) title from them we have to keep playing. And now I’m pissed all over again about close losses at home in 08 and last season. We should be carrying a 14-game streak against them into Atlanta this season, damnit!

      A nearly guaranteed win over a P5 conference team that’s a long-time rival? What’s not to like?

  6. I wonder what Paul’s Johnson thinks of this predicament…best finish in years and still selling the North end zone to the DawgNation. This is exactly why Bobby Ross went to the Pros. I love Georgia Tech ,How bout you?

Ain’t it great! Without Tech complacency many Dawg fans would not be able to go to the game. I love Bobby Dodd Stadium awash in red!

  7. Sorry for the confusion. UGA game is $100. Other games are additional. If you can get tickets from UGA, that’s great. But if you have less than 20k or 25k points or whatever …. then you’re left with aftermarket sources. All depends on what you want. To know where your tickets are and lock ’em down now and dump the other 2 games…..Or just deal with the scalper scene later.

I like being the scalper more than being scalped. Just presenting options.

They should create a package with 2 Tech games and a DragonCon pass. Now that would sell out for sure!
