“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
Want to talk about a waste of talent? Jadaveon is that personified.

Indeed. I would bet money right now he’s profiled years down the road in a “Greatest Draft Busts” piece.

Him pretty much taking his junior year off was a huge red flag, and I’m surprised more teams didn’t see that. Instead, they were mezmorized by his freak build and talent, and assured themselves he’d come thru for them.
Hmm, let’s give a guy with a clear lack of motivation tens of millions guaranteed upfront …that’ll get his motor running!

I don’t imagine Saban would have had time for Clowney’s lazy shit if Clowney had gone to Bama. This article makes Clowney look worse than it does Saban.

Agreed. Clowney’s comments were disrespectful and show a total lack of maturity. As simple pointed out above, the guy has been a bust in the NFL so far and I would argue, other than his freshman year when he became a national sensation, was a bust during his collegiate career–if you consider how he played way below his potential..

Clowney was the one who showed me Spurrier was through as a head coach, he stomped all over him his past two years. It was embarrassing for someone who so many hold so high as a HOF coach. He was at FU but he abandoned his approach in Columbia. Their fans shoul hope he steps down this year before they lose any ground they may have gained in his time at SC.

This is coming from someone who is 6’1, so I’m not exactly considered tall but certainly not short either. Oh, and I’m not exactly a fan of Saban either. With that said, if you’re going to make fun of being short, having a big nose, or whatever else that’s totally out of their control, you damn well better be pretty close to perfect when it comes to things you can control, such as your weight. Otherwise, you’re a total loser with absolutely no self awareness whatsoever.
Kinda like the fat slob behind me in section 129, with no discernable jaw line, who during the game likes to scream about James Franklin’s baldness, Gus Malzhan’s glasses, etc. Utterly no clue at all.

Yes, making fun of someone’s height is elementary school, middle school, at best. Of course, I think that’s about at the limit of Clowney’s natural intelligence from what else I’ve heard from him.
Clowney can point to his SEC East champion ring, if the chickens lowered themselves to having such things, while Saban wears his NC ring for the same time period.
