Still can’t pass.

After his brutally efficient 16/22 day against South Carolina, Jake Fromm now finds himself third nationally in passer rating.  His passer rating on third down is an otherworldly 201.41.

I sure hope an Auburn defensive back has something to say this week about Fromm’s shortcomings.

The passing % has Fromme and Stidham almost equivalent so that it may seem like we are playing against our own QB this week.

Fromme’s running now comes into play after getting a good sampling of it vs SCar. Good timing.

Watching Fromme is like Murray de ja vue. Same guts while running. Didn’t think I’d ever get the same feeling about the leadership as when Aaron was on the field. He’s like all Dawg.

Apples to oranges comparison given the VERY different roles the passing game played during the 20117 Fromm-Smart “era” and Murray’s. Murray 2010-14 HAD to throw the ball much more due to – depending on the season or game – poor D scoring, poor running game, personnel issues and to a lesser extent Richt’s offensive philosophy. Murray careless with the ball at times? Sure. However, the guy put the team on his back at times out of necessity. LOVE Fromm!

Mostly true…however, wouldn’t say that Murray had a poor running game to work with. Interesting too see that Murray and Fromm’s QB rating are close to the same…with Fromm’s being a little higher so far. Nonetheless, the two do remind me of each other. Fromm’s leadership skills could be a little better…..nice post.

Murray faced helluva lot better competition, iirc.

Can we start the Auburn hate now?

Dawgnation has their “by the numbers” thing up and it looks like it comes down to coaching. Ours is better. IMO.

Also, my youngest looks set to marry an Auburn boy. Do I set the tone early with him or wait and show my ass later? Good kid, adores my baby and will provide like she expects. Thoughts?

Dang man. My daughter is just 10 and I’m already worried about the boys, I don’t need to read stuff like you posted.

Since you asked I’ll throw out there that you establish some rules. Prohibit orange, Gatorade, or auburn clothing/car stickers from entering your property. I would strongly impress upon the young man that as situations arise your word is final and not up for debate. (All in good fun though).

I agree with Gassy. That said, take it from one who has Aubies in the family, there will be times when it is difficult. I hope the kid is smart enough not to parade that War Eagle BS around like so Aubies many do. You might want to have an actual talk with him where you two reach an agreement that you won’t rub the Dawgs in his face if he won’t rub the Tigers in yours (not that you would have in the first place).

He is having a great year for a freshman…or any class for that matter. Not just his arm, he is running that offense….a field general. Looking over to ’16……boy, Eason had a tough year. I just gotta wonder how much he has improved..

That’s all fine and well, but we’re going to have to play a hell of a lot better next week than we did against SC if we’re going to take down Alllllllbarn.

Can somebody explain what the heck has happened to Aaron Davis the back half of this season? It’s like the tale of two players. Over the last three games he’s gone to sleep. Defenders are getting behind him, he’s missing tackles/assignments and not giving 100%. I think Tucker needs to find a replacement or get in his grill, because he’s just earned the prestigious Prince Miller Flounder Spank DB award.

I don’t yet have a huge prob with #35, but it does bring up the question where is #2 LeCounte? Is he in the doghouse? Played a lot early (of course Parrish and Davis were both hurt), played a lot at Notre Dame, but just gets garbage snaps now.

It was interesting to me that when the announcers were calling for SC to fade route inside the 10 to their tallest receiver, we had 35 1-on-1 with him. Twice. We could’a had anyone and 35 was their choice. Said something to me about what our coaches are seeing.

Only one answer to that, the ones in front of him are better. Personally, once he is ready….thinks he will be a star.

  6. If he gets some words about it every game, he may end up sitting in NY waiting for his name to be called. LOL.

When was last time a Dawg frosh started a game on the Plain, and won?
Tigers open as favorites over Dawgs.
They are good, but damn that would piss me off.
