We got nothin’.

Kirby, on Malzahn’s “We whipped the dog crap out of them, didn’t we?” post-game glee:

“I’ll be honest with you, I think when you perform the way they did on the field, you earn the right to say really whatever you want,” Smart said. “I don’t get into what Gus says and he probably doesn’t get into what I say.”

He’s right.  The only way to answer that is to return the favor the next time you play ’em.

If Auburn beats bama and there is a rematch I like the psychological set up. Auburn will be prime for a letdown and Kirby will drill his guts on how much better they have to prepare/ play for round 2.

I’m going to file Shitbird Malzahn’s quote into my hate scrapbook. Then I’m gonna show it to Karma. We are better than we played Saturday, and It’s hard to beat the same team twice. May happen, but it will not change the seething, loathing, hatred for those classless bastards.

I think Gus got a little over emotional and lost control of his judgment, with the spot challenge and that comment. Not too big a deal.

The truth hurts. Malzahn has nothing to apologize for.

No one is asking him for an apology, I would like to thank him for giving KS some material. Was a stupid think for a HC to say, of course he didn’t realize there was a mic on close by. Every little bit helps. Thanks ass hat, and for the spot challenge too.

  5. It was a bad deal. It will forever be in the mind of Kirby Smart and in the mind of our football team. We’ll handle it, and it’s going to be a big deal.

Perfect public response by Kirby. Nothing really can be said.

In private, I hope it burns hotter than any normal hate for both he and the players. Same for challenging the spot with 4:00 left in the game.

These are the reasons I want Auburn to beat Bama. I think we handle them the next time.

Agree. Kirby in public has acknowledged over and over that we got whipped and his response was perfect. Now make their sorry asses pay next time we play them

Don’t forget about the play call on their last score. Beautifully called and executed play but unnecessary

it’s hard for a team to get psyched up multiple times. AU had to do it Sat.; they’ll have to do it again vs Bama; and then again the following week vs the Dawgs. it’s hard to play exceptionally well that many times and get up emotionally as well. they’ll have a let down vs Bama or the Dawgs. they aren’t that good. i just pray Chaney is working on plays to slow down the pass rush.

      • Chaney was out of his element. He failed to recognize the obvious – we could not run the ball against their jacked up defensive line and we needed to pass. I submit for you consideration – our first drive. How many passes? Oh, that’s right……….I know, I know….. they didn’t expect us to do that so it worked early but the run sure as hell did not work later in the game. And the fact that we played so passively at the end of the half and then missed the field goal…..Shades of the Georgia way……

I guess his one shot to beat us straight up called for all of the extra from Gus and the fans, but SEC karma is a funny thing and the long-term money HAS to be on UGA to even the score. And then some.
It will be cold chicken, but it will be oh so good.

    • Exactly. Malzahn is a classless, ignorant moron. I hate Auburn more than Tech or Florida by a factor of 2,000% – for the exact reason that Malzahn is a pathetic squeaker of a person.

I’m guessing recruiting wars spilling over.

Has anyone in the media asked Kirby what he thought about Malzahn passing it with 40 seconds left in the game or running two more running plays to extinguish the clock?

If I was Kirby, that stunt would go down in my Black Book. The next time we were up 56-3 against AU I’d use my remaining TO’s in the last minute and pass on every down under a minute, just to see how Malzahn likes it.

Between that pass, the comment picked up by the mic, no victory formation, spot challenge with like 4 minutes left, and the Soulja Boy over the PA system I would guess this is about to be a war. Funny the only one that I thought was poor sportsmanship was the really late spot challenge. I also thought the Soulja Boy was a pretty good troll job. When you combine it all together though it’s not hard to see that Gus is a sore loser in the vein of CUM and I expect there will be a bill due in our next win over them.

I guess it was okay when we played and danced to the soulja boy in the Auburn blackout game?

I honestly didnt care about them dancing to Soulja Boy. That was ten years ago. Them waiting until now just made them look stupid.

we did that in a bunch of games that year. Hard to see why they’d be butthurt (a popular AU word) about it 10 years later. They lined up and beat us, so I guess they can do what they like, but I’m pretty sure if they’d been getting their asses beat, nobody would have heard that song in the dumpiest village.

          • Did anyone notice their band playing our fight song after they scored? Another pathetic example of the miscreant inferiority complex held by every player, coach and fan. Especially the fans who are a prescient example of what happens when you have sex with your female cousin and produce offspring. Genetic breakdown.

There are some things you just don’t put behind you or chalk up to one bad game. Gus’s antics are burned into Kirby’s long term memory now. Not saying we are a lock to win future matches, but its much more personal now.

He is fighting for his job so he did as much as he could to run the score up. In seasons where he cannot procure a JC quarterbac to lead
his team (auburn in general) we will beat the brakes off of them. Essentially, auburn without a top flight qb is worthless.

Who cares they tried(and succeeded) to run it up on us. I hate that the Dawgs got their collective asses whipped like that but I’m glad that the “friendly rivalry” crap is put to bed permanently. UGA and Auburn/Florida/Tennessee should hate each other. If they can beat us by 100, they should, because I hope like hell Kirby will stomp their asses if given the chance. No quarter should be given nor should it be expected in these rivalries.

I sincerely hope Auburn beats Bama and makes it to Atlanta because they are owed an epic, salted earth, Rome vs Carthage type beatdown. Assuming Kirby & Co. are up to the task.

Enhh…let’s be clear. If we played them tomorrow, they whip our ass again. Nothing about their lines dominating ours is going to change real soon. We’ve got a lot of work to do.

I beg to differ. If you think that Auburn team is day in and day out 23 points better than this UGA team you, sir, are mistaken. UGA’s Defensive front 7 played their worst game about the same time Auburn’s O-Line played their best. Same goes for the Offensive Line vs their Defensive Line. The lines were getting bossed like an FCS team and the talent gap isn’t that big.

The simple truth is UGA has been woodshedding teams from the opening kickoff all season, except for ND, and when they took the quick lead and got a couple stops but Auburn and the stadium didn’t get scared and quit, UGA didn’t know how to respond. Maybe I’m wrong but that’s the game as I saw it and like I said, I sure as hell hope the dawgs get another shot at that Auburn team on December 2nd.

The defensive issues are fixable to an extent but not completely if it comes to it. I saw the game as three parts on the defensive end, overcompensating for Stidham as a passer which exposed that the defensive front can’t stop a good RB without help, then going more conservative and relying on 4-5 man fronts to disrupt Stidham, which actually would’ve worked if it weren’t for the really bad mistakes that gave them the ball back, then going in panic mode and being aggressive, which made the defensive coaches look horrible and caused analysts like Chip Kelly to poop all over Tucker and Smart after that.

Also have to wonder if the defense is just tired. Some plays that the Georgia defense was stopping previously, they didn’t even come close on Saturday.

If a rematch were to happen, I’d suspect we see mainly option 2 here. The issue with option 2 is, the defensive backfield. I’m not sure they can hold up without help and this has shown up as a problem vs Lock and Bentley before adjustments were made.

Agree. We have played one good team in ND an won the other teams we beat were bad at best Auburn is the best team we have played up to now. We play them ten times in a row they beat us nine times out of ten. Our O line is poor at best our D line is average at best. Every one has a plan until they are hit in the mouth. Then that plan changes real quick. Is Gus and his crew A$$hats for sure but they bitch slap us. The bad part we quit and had no answer. Just my thoughts.
