Life after Wims

If you’re among those worried about whom Jake Fromm will be throwing to with his favorite receiver from last season off to the NFL, maybe you should keep calm, as these two options should carry on.

That’s not just SEC, but all FBS programs.  In other words, Jake’s got something to work with.

Seems like Godwin caught passes from Joe Cox.

  2. Hopefully the natty wasn’t a fluke and Ridley continues to improve. I think he + Naughta/Other TE could more than replace Wims’ production from last year.

I thought we’d have seen Nauta as more of a receiving threat last season, but that never really stood out. Could be that we just don’t see the TE’s featured in the pass game like we were used to.

Any chance either will be 6’4” by September?

Wims wasn’t Wims going into last year. Now, it’s “how are we ever going to replace him?”

It’s foreign to Georgia fans, I know, not being in a horrible spot when it comes to personnel.

You never really know, but looking up and down that roster, with the aforementioned Godwin and Hardman, and a plethora of big, talented WRs on campus, along with big, talented TEs on campus, our ability to catch passes isn’t really something I’m worried about at this point.

Onw play, For quick hitters or fades, flex Nauta or Woerner out, or cross them. Who could defend that side of the field? Add Hardman and Godwin running back of end zone patterns from opposite side as 3 and 4 options.

Just one play, maximum use of size and speed.

Do we finally see Chaney target the TE and lean on his WR while the RBs get sorted out and we know for sure if one (or two) of them is the real deal?

With Chaney assumingly taking over coaching tight ends you have to wonder if he calls a game in a way to get them more involved.

The Georgia syndrome: Worrying about the WR position when you have two 5-star starting receivers returning, and multiple 4-star receivers behind them who want playing time.

Remember when Mecole had trouble catching the ball?

Plus they look pretty good in the field with the ball in their hands.

I always wanted to see those guys get the ball more but there just never seemed to be enough balls to go around.

Hope that they both get lots of touches this year.
