“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
We are leading in ppg though.

As they say, there are lies, damn lies, and statistics. Let them get their slide rules out, crunch the numbers and enjoy their participation award for now. Reality will shortly set in.

Tex, you are correct. I recall years ago Bear Bryant said (growled) on his corny TV show after a rare Bama loss after his host ask him about the game statistics showing Bama’s dominance in the game “Statistics?.. they are for losers and assistant coaches..”

Georgia played a ten minute 4th. Qtr. with a third string walk on QB. Georgia also played a zillion true freshmen and players who had never seen the field. Don’t know if GT handicapped their game with this sort of stuff, but I’ll bet they didn’t..Just one more drive in the 4th would have inflated Georgia’s stats over the nerds’.

I guess they have to take whatever joy they can from yesterday. Looked like their crowd for the home opener drew dozens of people. They should start playing at Grady HS, which is still way more room than they need (except when they play us or Clempson)
