Yesterday was a good day for picking up a win and a big check.
Akron gets $1.2 million guarantee from Northwestern and beats the Wildcats, 39-34, in game in which Zips trailed 21-3 at halftime, then got 3 defensive TD's.

Not pretty. But there’s a silver lining.
FBS teams went 17-0 vs FCS this weekend by an average final score of 50-19. That's the most wins without a defeat in a weekend of FBS vs FCS games since 2015.
FBS teams are 83-6 (93%) vs FCS this year by an average final score of 48-16.

Lesson for the weekend: there are cupcakes, and then there are cupcakes.
The other lesson is that the Big 10 is once again a joke. Vandy played ND much better than Michigan.

Ohio St. needed TCU to implode on themselves to win by that margin. Once TCU self destructed on a couple of plays, OSU got their act together.

But remember, preseason, the talking media-heads say the Big10 is the most COMPLETE conference…. chuckling

Well, they looked pretty complete yesterday. Just not the “complete” the pundits were thinking.

Arkansas must be really bad. Ouch.

I’m amazed at how far they’ve fallen. That stinks of morale issues alone with the lack of talent/coaching. It will take much work to bring that mess back to relevance.

I agree. I’m amazed at how bad they are. That fake fair catch by NT was hilarious.

And that’s with the full staff from UCF assisting him. And UCF is winning with a new staff and new set of signals. Could it be that these UCF players are a force unto themselves and don’t need no stinkin’ coaches?

Not sure why you are so against him. I would feel that way had he not distanced himself from the stupid claim of a MNC, but he did. Don’t know of anything else he has done, may be just me not knowing other issues. I liked him, and was pleased to see his return to his alma mater, there were easier assignments out there. And the Husker fans I have known are a cut above the average “blueblood” program, so I would like to see them get back to winning ways.

I’ve disliked him since he cried on national tv to get NU half of a national title in Osborne’s last season. Michigan would’ve run them off the field that year.
What happened last year at UCF was natural progression for the whiny brat.
