Today, in dumpster fires

This is fine.

On the Plains?  I wouldn’t be so sure of that.

You know, the story so long has simply been a case of SEC programs trying to emulate Saban’s success and flopping, for the most part.  If the movers and shakers at Auburn are now feeling threatened by both Tuscaloosa and Athens, there’s no telling how crazy those folks might get.

They have moved right passed dumpster fire to a real TIRE FIRE. You know how hard those are to put out.

  4. AU football feels like they are entering the same abyss UT did in the early ’00’s, in which the next 7-10 years – maybe longer – will be filled with chaos and overall mediocrity. Hopefully I’m right.

A common and underrated component to both Smart’s and Saban’s success: both men walked in in charge of basically everything.

Auburn is doing an excellent job convincing future coaches to stay away, as if having both Georgia and Alabama on the schedule wasn’t deterrent enough.

They may have to bring Pat Dye back as AD to fix this mess, like Fulmer did at UT.

It can get so ugly when bagmen act out.

…they are seeking to undercut him by limiting assistants’ contracts to single year deals.

That can mean only one thing: They are going to fire Malzahn after next season and don’t want to pay the assistants any severance. Very unhealthy environment on the Plains right now.

      • I don’t think there’s any doubt about it. His seat is 5-alarm hot at this point. I hope Kirby is whispering this in Owen Pappoe’s ear.

Given the size of Gus’s buyout, they are going to have to save every penny they can to pay him. Maybe they are trying to use every mechanism to get him to take another job, so they don’t have to pay him.

Who would want to go work in that environment at this point?

It’ll be Freeze’s job before it’s over, and unfortunately he will succeed. He’ll leave scorched earth, but he’ll bring in some top notch recruits for the 4 or 5 years he’s there. Jesus sells

You know, if in some way losing to Auburn last year (round 1) helped create this conundrum, I’m kinda glad we lost…

When does Bilicheki’s contract expire, he could end up owning 1/2 of Alabama (which is like owning ocean front property in Hahira).

Slightly off subject, but I was a bit surprised Stidham decided to go pro. I was expecting Derek Brown, but haven’t seen anything yet on him.

Expect the whining to move the Georgia game to earlier in the season and to move to the East to increase. Needless to say, cheating in recruiting is going to pick up. Mr. Freeze might even bring in some new ho talent if they can hire him. I wish we could trade them straight up to the ACC for Clemson.

Look. I know this is fun, but Josh Moon is a troll.

He stated unequivocally last year that Bruce Pearl would be fired for the Chuck Person mess.

I am so here for stretching out the series lead.

Auburn looks like they are in a bad spot and they can’t quite spend their way out of it for at least a couple of years.
