PAWWWLLL!!!, just askin’.

Finebaum has been in his typical stir the pot mode this week, focusing on whether 2020 could be Florida’s year to win the East.

The chef’s kiss touch is whether that’s because Georgia’s “window”, whatever the hell that is, has closed.

He’s going to be a real treat at SEC Media Days this year.

  1. We live rent free in their heads. He was on Finebaum for 10-12 minutes and talked about UGA the entire time. He also said that we “feared” the Gators. It was quite comical.

  2. #FTMFer’s! It amazes me how much time people waste getting roped into the opinions of these assclowns- whose sole purpose is to get a reaction. Stop supporting these media whores and they’ll be gone!

Finebaum is from the Connie Stinson tree of talk show hosts. Same demographic too. What ever happened to old Connie?

Finebaum would like nothing better than to believe his own bullshit.
He’s clearly worried that UGA is going to eclipse his beloved ‘bama.
This whole offseason and the talk all the way up to the WLOCP is going to be Gator-grading UF and Dawgrading UGA.
    Get used to it.
Reality has nothing to do with it.
Florida is the media’s 2007 Hawaii. The team that will somehow with lesser talent, will almost certainly beat Georgia. It’s the same old slop from idiots.
And I think Mullens is dumb enough to eat that rat poison. He’ll be mouthing off as if he’s on a winning streak against Georgia. It will get unbearable if he beats a decimated LSU defending NC team…but it will make the win in Jax the sweetest in decades.
The truth is that Georgia is about to field one of the finest defenses the college football world has seen…and a very much improved offense. These talking asshats don’t recognize that…all they can do is drool over the near past performance of the UGA offense. In the back of their little braIns they know the truth.
A lot of what this is about is the established top few teams’ media guardians (Pawl for Alabama…Herbie for anOSU…and also Clemson) are loudly whistling in the dark. They see Georgia as a party crasher.
Dawgs needs to put a beat down of epic proportions on the turds this year.

In fairness (?) to Paul, he did go to Tennessee. So, the only reason he cares about Bammer is because they and theirs keep the lights on for him.

This is what annoys me about when he goes after us.

Is it that he has an emotional connection to bama?

      No.

No one kicked bama around more than he did on the radio back in the day.

But he has a relevancy relationship to bama. When bama goes, he goes.

So he will continue to prop up alabama in every way because in truth bama and saban took him from a Birmingham sports writer to nationally known tv star. And he knows if bama fades back to irrelevance, so does he.

So lets win at bryant denny in September and go from there.

I like where your head’s at… but wouldn’t he just jump the UGA Train?

Here’s the thing—as someone who lived in Birmingham for the entirety of Tommy Tuberville’s six-year streak over the Tide, I can assure you that Finebaum was just as big an Auburn homer then as he is a Crimson Tide frontrunner now. He proclaimed Tuberville as a diabolical genius and dunked on poor dumb Bama and Mike Shula at every opportunity. And even though Saban reversed that situation, as soon as the 2010 Auburn team Cam Newton really got rolling, Finebaum started hinting that Gene Chizik, of all people, might have knocked Saban off his pedestal.

I genuinely don’t think he gives a rat’s ass about who’s got the upper hand between the two big state schools, but he knows that by praising one of them at the expense of the other, he can keep listeners tuning in on both sides. Currently the Bammers are tuning in because he blows sunshine up their collective asses—including talking about how all of Bama’s opponents are just pretenders—while the Barners tune in so they can yell at him and bellyache about how unfair everything is. But if Saban retires and Bama stumbles, and Malzahn manages to take advantage of the situation, just you wait—Finebaum will be proclaiming Auburn as the rising power and suggesting that Bama ain’t shit without Saint Nick. It’s all calculated as hell, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t think there’s much sincere affection for the Tide involved.

If Pawl is still on the air with listeners who actually care about what he says, then anyone in America can accomplish anything.

The difference between Georgia and Alabama in the 2018 SECCG was seven points, too, but I don’t recall hearing anyone talking about how Nick Saban’s reign at the top was over.

We have the number 1 recruiting class as of last night. Sideshow Dan has yet again not even come close to that. But our window is over?

I hope the Dawgs beats Florida so badly Jacksonville changes it’s name to, Hiroshima.

    “7 points”

If you recall, that was Dan’s line when he got called out about the gap in talent after losing to Georgia (again). I guess this guy from Gator Bait just recycles the press release, huh? I’m good with it.

Personally, I like having the team play with a chip on their shoulder. Not as bad as with Richt but they don’t play as well or work as hard when they are told how great they are. Keep the dings coming!
I think Kirby is better at motivating the talented roster he has to get better, not just to win but to make themselves a better version each and every day.
Let FL and Finebaum get them more motivated. Works for me.

Man, I love this stuff! Side Show Dan will be running his mouth all summer and the press will eat it up. Kirby will have us ready.

Yep. You’d think Mullen & co would change their tune after the one-fiasco-after-another off season they had in 2019. Doubling down on a losing hand FTW.

  12. Paul has been talking about Georgia consistently the last weeks, his fill in did also.

I’d love it if the Dawgs could set a new margin of victory record in the series (even though I have my doubts about that being possible, what with 75 points being the key margin).
