You will be shocked, shocked to learn that there isn’t a Georgia play in this clip.

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
How many Georgia tight ends are in the pros? We’ve done pretty good haven’t we, despite ignoring them? I think even the iffy handed Artie Lynch played a few seasons. Watson, Leonard Pope, Orson Charles?

I think all but one of those was a play-action/RPO play. It’s amazing what can happen when you put the opposing defense into a conflict. At least we won’t have to see Fromm doing that fake zone read BS anymore.

Just an observation, but I didn’t see any SEC teams in that clip.

I think the quality of DL/OLB’s in the SEC might play a role in that.

I had the same thought.

Maddening – we had the guys at TE to do that yet……………………….

You should never forget the TE when the TE is Kmet.

The sheer volume of wasted opportunity over the past many years just makes me sad/mad. I have no idea how many times I’ve yelled at the tv to throw to the TE.

Also of note, I didn’t see any UGA defenses in that clip, either.

We ran a veer offense in high school(lo these many years ago.) My favorite play was “4-16(right) or 4-15(left)” – fake the dive to the right, stop, throw to the tight end running down the middle. Almost always worked for a first down in relatively short yardage situations. I played center and loved to look up and see Bert running free down the middle of the field.
