LSU recruits just as well as anyone. I know they lost a lot, but they can reload just as Bama, Clemson, OSU, and we do.

Also a top 10 ranking for the Rudys has restored my general disdain for overrated media darlings who play a shitty schedule and typically get their asses handed to them whenever they square up against the SEC.

Yeah, lately “the experts” have been saying that TN has a better shot than UF though. TN has Chaney, upper class QB, and a roster with fewer holes in it than last year. I can live with LSU top 5, those kids will be winning games on confidence alone stemming from last year.

On a YPA basis they did perform better than Fromm last year (but that’s more a Coley issue than a UT has great QB play)

LSU — @ Fla, Alabama, @ Aub & @ TAMU….this before (COVID) adding 2 SEC East opponents. This is a 3 loss (or more) squad replacing 15+ starters.

I’m not convinced that LSU lost THAT much talent and that Sideshow Dan can “coach up” his side to beat a top-10 opponent like that. His record against the top-25, let alone the top-10, is abysmal.

That was the spin from UF fans, but it ignores that LSU averaged over 10 yards per play against Grantham. The only reason it was within 2 TDs was Mullen was playing keep-away.

I would’ve thought fu would be ranked ahead of the Dawgs based on how many of the experts are saying they’ll win the east this year. Not to mention their Heisman winning QB. (It’s a foregone conclusion Trask will win if we get a season) I guess the coaches aren’t as good as the pundits at evaluating the talent of teams…
