SEC refs trying their best to keep Auburn in the lead for halftime. The Kentucky guy’s entire body was in the end zone.

Our weekly reminder that SEC Officiating Competence is basically a coin flip and will bite your favorite team in the ass exactly 50% of the time over the long haul.
5 high profile totally botched replay calls last season, one of which effectively decided a playoff game. Off to a roaring start with that “couldn’t really tell if he was in the end zone or not.”
I honestly don’t know how the SEC gets away with it. You’d think at some point the scribes would put them on a spit and roast them until they got it right.

We should have a professional ref league. They’re actually not that far removed from high school referees. They have other jobs and show up on Saturday. Actually don’t think they even make that much. I want them to be full time dedicated to their profession. Classes training feedback performance reports. They should be reviewed that following Monday. All of it

Agree with all of that. They also really botched things by not reviewing their replay protocols last season. Someone in a meeting didn’t say, “Hey, we blew some important calls last season even with replay. Maybe we should take a look at that.”
That’s a SEC office problem.

UK got utterly robbed and it turned into a nightmare. Fuck SEC refs. I swear. Greatest conference with the most money why can we not get professional refs. With full time pay… training…claases.. drills

It must have been a blind Penn Wagers manning the replay booth. Just horrendous. Makes me not want to watch anymore.

It honestly made me mad. The worst call in football is when the replay booth can’t manage to see what every single person watching at home sees. Low scoring game Kentucky behind… it may have cost the game

They missed the TD call and spotted the ball at the wrong on the missed call, spotted the ball behind where Wilson was stopped then did a make up call on the return.
Just an ordinary SEC refereeing day.

Honestly. it’s just incompetence, but you wouldn’t be able to blame fans who look at sequences like that and conclude refs have their thumb on the scales and some skin in the game.

Kyle Pitts is a full grown man. And Brenton Cox made two solid plays. Still, Ole Siss has terrible line play.

OM lines look like HS by size comparison. And florida lines aren’t all that. OM is almost in a FSU way. I think lane kiffin with his A game is a better play designer and play caller. He was able to use some trick eration and get to the outside, But he can’t run. Trask balls that needed depth air accuracy speed, have not been that great. Most of his passes have been little dump offs. Got very lucky not to have had an interception

Man, these on field interviews with the coaches are a disaster. About ten feet a away, both wearing masks and they can’t hear anything. This is something the networks just need to give up on this season .

I used to critique it real hard from the day they started doing it. Coach your team’s losing 30 to 3 do you plan to make any adjustments in the locker Room? Coaches head blows up. Its so stupid

One hour later I’m still mad about Kentucky not getting their touchdown. And if Mississippi was like 5% better they might be winning.

Yeah, KY has a great shot at winning this game, that bad call really hurt their chances. I’m hoping they can gut it out, Stoops makes me feel like he could keep his team in the game. But, it may cost them the game.

If you watched the game as a scout…most of his passes were very very easy passes. But when there was traffic or a little pressure he didn’t throw good balls. I mean Om is a really bad team. defensive backs are absolutely horrible.

Looks like a young and mistake prtone team instead of a.top four team. Running out of bounds a yard short of the first down is stupid. Penalties are stupid and we really should have had another. We need a mistake free drive to get this thing under control. So far, I’m not too impressed with our Dawggies…but it’s early.

I’m hoping Arkansas turns out to be actually pretty good. Their coaching got a huge upgrade across the board, and they’ve got some players.
But the offense is just a mess. Line looks confused, QBs look flustered, and play calling hasn’t established a thing yet.
