Your Daily Gator could use some advice.

Pro tip:  Before you label your opponent “not on our level”, you might want to check on your roster first.

“I kind of viewed — I don’t know, maybe this is wrong — that wasn’t the 2020 football team that you saw,” Mullen said of the Gators, who finished 8-4 after dropping their final three games. “There were 25 guys missing off the 2020 football team out there tonight. That was kind of a kick-start for us for the future, an opportunity for the young guys to play.”

Turns out OU is not on the Gators level, just not in the way the mouthy Gator thought. They might be the best 4 loss team in America, though. I was a little surprised, seeing as how Mullen is famous for his ability to coach guys up. He didn’t seem to being doing more with less in the Cotton Bowl, did he?

    FTMF. 🙂

Some of my all time favorite games are Gator losses:
    Vs Nebraska 1996
    Vs Ga Southern 2013
    Vs Notre Dame 1992
    Vs Bama 2009
    Vs Oklahoma 2020
    Vs Auburn 2007
Some of the above were close losses but the most satisfying are the blowouts. Grantham looked worse last night then even I could have hoped for. But if Mullen has to fire his DC after their “best” year since 2009 then Mullen will be gone when they go 8-4 next year. Hope we can help by embarrassing them next year.

Hey, wait till next year. We’ll win it all. If only we’d had JT at the cocktail party then Fl would be announcing their coaching search right now.

That is the UF team of next year. All those guys will be starters.

It is a glorious thing to behold.

So Dan would agree that the cocktail party with no JT is not the 2020 football team either.

Everyone seems to gloss over this statement “25 guys missing.” They showed a few COVID numbers and guys opting out for the draft but I didn’t come up with 25 guys. I have wondered what the story is with the remainder.

If that wasn’t their 2020 team, you can sign me up all day for their 2021 team. The future looks bright.

There has not been much joy in the year of 2020 but seeing the Fighting Merle Haggards whip the UF Gutters last night was pure jubilation! But true to 2020 that will probably be the last time 3rd and Grantham suits up for cousin Eddie. I really wonder what Mullen was thinking when he had to pull Trask as he was waving bye bye to the Heisman and all momentum headed into the 2021 season!

I enjoyed seeing a preview of a team with only Mullen’s recruits

  18. Sadly, the voting for the Heisman was finished prior to the game. I didn’t think he should win anyway-and don’t think he will anyway- Smith at UA should win IMHO.
