Can’t say they didn’t know.

This is some graph.

Somehow, Coach 404 manages to bring up the rear at both schools he coached at.

The obvious move Tech should make, based on that chart, is pretty clear.  Fortunately, this being Georgia Tech we’re talking about, there’s not much of a likelihood they’ll do it.

Napier doesn’t exactly break the scale on those graphs either. I’m not sure he’s going to be the offensive messiah that Gainesville so desperately wants.

Good thing you don’t need to be able to run the ball in the SEC.

What’s so funny is that net offensive stats were not Mullen’s problem. In fact, Mullen is probably somewhat “generational” at Florida in that regard. He rolled up tons of offense and scored piles of points. He just couldn’t fulfill all the duties of a HC (namely recruiting, coordinator management, and team morale). Napier will probably be a better CEO than Mullen, but I’m highly doubtful that Napier will approach Mullen’s offensive stats.

Odd / random selection of coaches for this analysis any rhyme or reason provided why this guy picked them other than uga trolling with mullet & slingblade?

  5. Temple was coming off back-to-back 10-win seasons when they hired ol’ Geoff, and he only managed to go 7–6 and 8–4. Don’t know why Tech got this idea he was a program-builder.

Happily their not smart enough to fix their own house and have a competitive football program.

They have fixed the academic problems holding them back. They can’t fix the fact that the majority of their moneyed alumni don’t give a damn about football and they have about as much money as, say, Tulane.

Geoff Collins is a clown and a fraud, and you see it there with the Temple performance much more readily than the Tech performance – coming in with Paul Johnson’s roster on offense there aren’t many coaches who weren’t going to struggle there. I’ll be mad forever that we didn’t get to tee off on his ass in 2020 the way we did in 19 and 21.

These young whippersnappers are always making the lettering on these charts too small to read! Oy!

Chadwell’s offense is like a weird baby birthed from the DNA of Johnson and Mullen’s offenses.

Makes too much sense for the NATS to hire him, so, much like how it made too much sense for Vandy to hire Jeff Monken and win 8 games a year with his version of the triple option and they didn’t do it, I’m gonna guess the Bugs look to the “next hot assistant coach trend,” and hire someone like Clemson’s DB coach or something.

I’d love for Gee-Off to stay down there in Atlanta, but much like Sideshow Dan the Clown in Jortsville, every hilarious abject failure must eventually come to an end.

Why on earth would Chadwell want to work for Tech. There are much better funded programs out there that would love to hire him.

Really? Where were they this past year, when there were all those openings at every tier within the P5? Chadwell was overlooked for every single one of those jobs in favor of more “conventional” coaches.

        • I think Chadwell is trying to be choosy. A Go5 coach typically gets one shot and stepping up. Frankly, I’m surprised the Handbags didn’t go after him big time.

There’s choosey, and then there’s not even being in the mix. I only remember a couple of schools Chadwell was maybe in the mix for, but I don’t remember him actually getting any interviews.

You have to be in the mix to be choosey.
