What Thursday really was, ended up being the final cherry on top of the cake for Kirby Smart and Georgia. I mean, it was a defining moment for Georgia’s program — as the national championship was — but this confirmed it. … It’s remarkable and I think, now, hopefully, people will give Kirby Smart the credit that he deserves as a builder and as a developer — and, obviously, as a head coach.

It’s hard to argue, after this past weekend, that Georgia doesn’t have the best overall program in the country — and I’m not talking about a moment in time, the winner of the championship. Too often, we do that. I’m talking about — look at who has the best program in college football right now. You can make an argument it’s the University of Georgia.

Alabama still has the best coach (for now), but Georgia has the best program and has one of the highest ceilings in the sport (possibly Texas only has a higher ceiling).
Amazing what happens when everyone around the program is pulling in the same direction.

Paul is right. Who would you rather be now and for the next ten years? Saban is the GOAT but Kirby has gone toe to toe in most of his matchups with him. And how much longer can/will saban go? Here is to kirby going much much longer.

PAWWWWWWL is just trying to guarantee his ratings by pissing off the Gumps, Barners, Gators, Vols, and everyone outside the SEC. It doesn’t matter to him that he might be right, it only matters that hate clicks/calls/views keep the cash flowing from ad sales. This is the model Cowherd uses, too, except Cowherd is from the Pacific NW and still wants to pretend the Pac 12 will rise again. FTMF.
