The swinging dicks of the SEC East

In the SEC East, I’m not sure which is bigger, the talent gap between Georgia and the rest of the division, or…

… the bravado gap.

Reminds me of the Cocks cannon shot. We saw what happened there. Anyone who thinks Kirby is going to be out schemed in recruiting is delusional.

Don’t know about y’all, but this is exactly what I wanted my college football to devolve into: memes, about how my NIL collective is bigger than your NIL collective.

Good Lord, the Hillbillies are truly suffering some particularly insane delusions thanks to a 7-5 regular season.

Have any of them managed to see how Huepel did at UCF? His first season was his best season and he got progressively worse the next two years. Those fans down there wanted him gone, and were relieved when their old AD hired him to come to Hillbillyville.

It’s gonna be hilarious when Nothing Sucks Like A Big Orange Nation figures out that 7-5 was the nadir.

    This is Gamecockish.
Heupel has a career 71% winning percentage and has 1 Group of 5 conference championship.
Saban has a career 80% winning percentage and during the period that Heupel has been a head coach (2018 through 2021) Saban has won 2 College Football Playoff championships and 2 SEC championships and was leading in the 4th quarter of another CFP championship.
Kirby Smart has an 81% winning percentage , 1 College Football Playoff championship, led in overtime of another CFP championship, and 1 SEC championship.

Saban returns the 2021 Heisman Throphy winner and the Bronko Nagurski winner and pulled in the nation’s 2 highest rated 2022 recruiting class.
Smart returns the CFP semifinal and CFP final most outstanding offensive player and the nation’s 3 highest rated 2022 recruiting class.

UT returns off of a 7-6 season and the nation’s 18th highest 2022 recruiting class, which is also the SEC’s 8th best class.
(The recruiting rating are from 247sports.)

Sure, Tennessee deserves respect as do all other SEC teams not named Vanderbilt, but neither Saban or Smart are in therapy over the prospect of playing the Vols.
In other words, a stupid tweet.

  6. Remember when people used to call Georgia “preseason champs”? It wasn’t meant as a compliment.

To quote Ranger Russ regarding the ditch lizards, “FTMF” applies here as well. The big o sucks!

This nonsense started when they got that QB recruit commit. They think this kid is the second coming of Manning. He’s gonna single handedly lead them to the promise land. Holy cow….act like you’ve got a 5 star recruit before. Heck, we get them all the time.

They are going to find that NIL is just like the NFL. There is a finite about of money to spend. The went out and blew their NIL wad on a QB. Who’s he going to throw it to? Who’s going to block for him? Who’s going to get the defensive stop when they need the ball back (often)? Lots of NFL teams have spent all their salary cap on a QB and then went down the toilet because it takes a whole team to win not just one star player. Tennessee will suffer the same fate. All schools have donors with money, but at some point, even they will say “I’m tapped out”.

          From CBS SPORTS
Tennessee football nabbed a commitment from five-star quarterback Nicholaus Iamaleava on Monday, providing a crown jewel to its growing 2023 class. Iamaleava, the No. 4 quarterback and No. 7 overall recruit in the 2023 class, according to 247Sports Composite rankings, picked the Volunteers over Miami and Georgia.

There are reports that he landed an $8 million dollar NIL deal
On March 11th, four days after Iamaleava was in Knoxville for his second visit, a new report came out from Stewart Mandel of The Athletic. It changed everything in terms of NIL.
According to a contract that both Mandel and his legal team reviewed, an unnamed recruit signed a deal that could be worth up to $8 million with an undisclosed school. Full details of the deal depend on how long the recruit stays at the specific school. Either way, he is set to receive a large sum of money up front.
Later reports have indicated that this is Iamaleava but I don’t know if that has been confirmed or not.

Yeah, D.N. I remember two seasons ago that psychobilly tweaking vol fan screaming at me across the gas pumps. The vols getting a mud hole stomped in their ass was the best outcome he could hope for.

Getting stomped by your long time rivals annually and going 5-5 against Vandy its a great time for the Vol nation.

  16. Tennessee under Heupel is going to be GT under Paul Johnson. The more a DC sees that offense, the less effective it’s going to be by a mile.
